Hello everyone and welcome to the Season Fifty Seven SHL awards ceremony! It gives me great pleasure to host this ceremony to recognize the accomplishments of many players and teams on their incredible seasons. This event truly showcases the great level commitment that members of the SHL have put into their teams and players that has been translated into some great success on the ice.

First I would like to say congratulations to the Challenge Cup champion Chicago Syndicate!! Chicago was dominant this season finishing with the second-best record with one hundred and five points and over fifty wins and were able to take down the defending champions, juggernaut Hamilton Steelhawks.

I also want to quickly congratulate the Hamilton Steelhawks on winning the Presidents trophy for having the best regular season record with one hundred and ten points and also making the SHL Challenge Cup Finals!!

First we will start with the individual stats based awards! Congrats to Michael Scarn @Trautner from the Hamilton Steelhawks for winning the Sergei Karpotsov trophy for recording the most points in the SHL with a ninety three point season which was six more points then anyone else in the league!

Also a big shout out to Monkey D. Luffy @TnlAstatine from the Buffalo Stampede for winning the Jay McDonald award for the most goals scored in the SHL in season fifty seven with an impressive four two goals (the only player in the league who scored over forty goals in season fifty seven)!

Next we have the biggest goon (Turd Ferguson) award which is going to Luc-Pierre Lespineau-Lebrunette @Mothers Favorite Goalie from the Baltimore Platoon who had the most penalty minutes this season with one hundred and thirty nine!

Last but not least we have the Mike Honcho award given to the goalie with the Lowest Goals Against which is Tibuk Soonika @chetib from the Chicago Syndicate with a 2.35 over fifty four games!

Next we will start up the fun begins with unveiling the Ryan Jesster award for rookie of the year!

This award goes to the league's top rookie. Extreme performances beyond that of other rookies in the league are important to consider while team success can also be a factor here. All aspects of play should be looked at here not just simply points and goals. This is an all-encompassing award.

Here are the nominees:

Hamilton Steelhawks Forward- Rotticus Scott (25 goals, 34 assists and 59 points23 rating, 101 hits, 35 shot blocks and a corsi rating of 65.5 in 66 games)

Seattle Argonauts Starting Goalie-Thor Odinson (17-36-1 record, 0.916 save percentage, 74 game rating, for 1952 shots against 4th highest in 54 games)

Chicago Syndicate Forward- Jean-Uhtred Ragnarsson-Tremblay (10 goals, 33 assists and 43 points, +33 rating, 17 takeaways and -9 takeaway to giveaway ratio, no power play time in 66 games)

And the winner is…….

Rotticus Scott @RotticusScott !!!!

Leading all rookies in scoring is no easy task, but Rotticus did that and then some racking up huge totals in all offensive categories including 25 goals, 34 assists and 59 points, just short of a point per game average. On the defensive side of the puck he was quite responsible as well finishing the season with a +23 rating, 101 hits, 35 shot blocks and a corsi rating of 65.5 which is really impressive for a rookie. While you could argue that being on a top tier team like the Steelhawks helps fluff those point totals, there is no denying this kid can play and was seen as the clear-cut winner amongst the award committee with a unanimous vote after having one of the most dominant offensive rookie seasons in recent memory. Congrats on an incredible rookie season, Scott has definitely put the league on notice!! As a fellow member of the S54 rookie draft class, my hat goes off to you for one of the best rookie seasons in SHL history!

The next award we have is the Lance Uppercut Award given to the general manager duo who best exemplify their role through roster moves, good drafting, and all-around team building for the specific season.

Here are the nominees:

The Los Angeles Panthers- they added some big pieces to the roster and the locker room with Nicholas Williams and Perry Morgan making. It seems new GMs really appear to have a vision for this team and it really clear from their good moves this off season enabled them to have a pretty successful year finishing fourth in the western conference with a respectable 80 points.

The Winnipeg Aurora- they lost some big pieces with two 1.5k tpe defensemen and brought in two good low cost high value replacements finishing in fifth place in the western conference and making a surprising playoff run in the post season.

The Buffalo Stampede- they have generally drafted well the past couple and have a great pipeline of prospects and this process really shined through this season with former first pick Emilia Bergman and sixth round pick Aumy Jr. and also traded for a couple first round picks in some good deals.

And the winner is…….

The Los Angeles Panthers!!!! Congrats @FuzzSHL and @TheDangaZone !!!
