Cap space is a valuable asset in the SHL and locker rooms are important to keep as welcoming places that members want to be in. Sometimes it's not worth drafting someone even if they're active for these reasons.

I was enlightened that certain members DMed GMs and basically said “your branding sucks and I hate you don’t draft me” so I’m rescinding what I have said.

Where?

look at transactions then look at standings. not difficult to see which 20 win teams are signing IAs .heck. i'd play straight in the SHL if i as getting the money these IAs get fed.

So there are 18 teams. Are you saying that signing IAs shouldn't be allowed?

the reason for the rule is so players cant tank their value and then sign in free agency the same season.

yo these guys talk about not having no room. these IAs going to win them that title? theyre better off getting lotto tickets and investing in youth through development but instead they cling onto these IAs while finishing bottom 6 in the league.

Last season I went undrafted and the draft I had 4 teams that said they would have signed me but the rules said I had to wait for this draft.

not always, but we certainly have. and no one wants to spend cap space on unwanted users. Every single person i talked to did not want to play with jiggly and many of them also did not want to play with valor or emiko. I dont know what kind of reputation you have to give yourself to go undrafted, but they did it. No GM is going to taint their LR or their cap space with undesirables.

But you're right, its not always about cap space. A lot of the time its about flexibility. A lot of the time people just have a bad rep. I wouldn't sign anyone with negative value
