Well, another WJC is in the books!
Finland were able to finish what they started last season and bring home gold once again as back-to-back champions.
So, congratulations to Finland on their impressive run.
Thank you to all of the other nations for their contributions to the event as well.

Our first award is the DeMaricus Smyth Award, which is given to the Best Forward in the tournament.
This is voted on by the tournament GMs and takes into account both the round robin and medal rounds.
The winner of the DeMaricus Smyth Award is...

Kaapo Kampainen @marco999

The next award is the Harvey Danger Award for the Best Defenseman.
This is voted on by the tournament GMs and takes into account both the round robin and medal rounds.

Robert Feltersnatch @Roamus

Up next is the The Peter Larson Award which goes to the Best Goaltender of the tournament.
This is voted on by the tournament GMs and takes into account both the round robin and medal rounds.
The vote was almost unanimous, and quite surprisingly, it was 1 vote short of a full sweep.

The Alex Andani Award is given to the Best Rookie in the WJC.
This is voted on by the tournament GMs and takes into account both the round robin and medal rounds.
This was a tight vote which included an astounding 7 nominees!
There were a number of excellent performances by rookies this season,
but the winner of the Alex Andani Award is...

Daud Ramza @Blasoon

Our last award is the Brady McIntyre Award which is given to the WJC Tournament MVP.
This is voted on by the tournament GMs and takes into account both the round robin and medal rounds.
With a goalkeeping performance for the ages, there is no surprise that the winner of the Brady McIntyre Award is...

Ragnar-Alexandre Ragnarsson-Tremblay @LarryTheMVP

Please join me in congratulating all of the award winners!
Thanks again to all who participated in the voting, and to all of the players for putting their body on the line.
And a special thank you to everyone behind the scenes that helps make the WJC a success.
