Manhattan Balls Cursed

JayWhy is a curse, more specifically JayWhy and the draft lottery is a curse. First let us define how its a curse.
JayWhy as the Manhattan GM was in 9 Draft Lotteries in his 21 seasons as a GM, not bad considering that 8 of them were in his first 10 seasons. So lets take a look at them one by one The first draft lottery his pick was in was in S40, but surprise, that pick got traded by Nuck and TheRealBK before JayWhy became a GM. Who really cares about the trade, we only want to see what happened to the pick. The pick was in texas’s hands, at 25 balls. It was - 35 Balls (via Seattle) - 25 Balls (via Rage) - 20 Balls - 10 Balls - 5 Balls (Forfeit) - 5 Balls (Forfeit) The pick was the 3rd ball selected, so he was the 3rd runner up from 1st OA. But close is only used in horseshoes and hand grenades so it doesnt matter, because Buffalo Stampede won the lotto. Next is S41, where Manhattan had a decent season comparing the other teams, so they only have 5 balls this time, but they have their pick!! Yay - 35 Balls (via Seattle) - 25 Balls - 20 Balls - 10 Balls (Forfeit) - 5 Balls - 5 Balls And defying all odds!!! Manhattan was the 2nd runner up from 1st OA, with 5 balls. And Buffalo wins the draft lotto again. Next is S42, where Manhattan is running it back with 5 balls again, with the lotto odds being - 35 Balls (via SFP) - 25 Balls - 20 Balls - 10 Balls (via TOR) - 5 Balls - 5 Balls (via NEW) And guys see this, Manhattan went 2nd runner up AGAIN, with 5 balls. With New England winning the draft lotto. So close again, but so far away. Next is S43, where Manhattan said fuck it and really said we need all the balls. Being dead last in the league, they have the most balls with 35 and ready to try to win the draft lotto, which was - 35 Balls - 25 Balls - 20 Balls (via Riot) - 10 Balls (via Stars) - 5 Balls (via Chiefs) - 5 Balls Where, believe it or not, Manhattan was 2nd runner up for the 3rd consecutive time. With San Francisco winning the draft lotto with the SEA pick. Now you think it would happen again? Lets find out In S44, Manhattan just said fuck it and traded out of the 1st round to select Alex Winters in the S43 draft. So will there be karma and Edmonton get 1st OA? Lets find out - 35 Balls - 25 Balls (via MAN) - 20 Balls - 10 Balls (via TOR) - 5 Balls (via EDM) - 5 Balls And you love to see it, for the 4TH TIME in a row, the Manhattan pick was the 2nd runner up. With New England winning 1st OA that season. Now you might think, why does Manhattan have the curse? Why does this happen over and over again. Who really knows. But we still have 4 more draft lotteries to go through. Onto S45 draft lotto. They have 20 balls, have their own pick of course. Lets see how it goes, they have - 35 Balls - 25 Balls (via SEA) - 20 Balls (but we all know they aren't winning) - 10 Balls - 5 Balls (via NEW) - 5 Balls And you wont believe it… but for the 5th time in a row, Manhattan was the 2nd runner up. With the San Francisco Pride winning the lotto, this is ⅚ seasons that Manhattan(specifically JY) that was 2nd runner up to 1st OA. And we still got 3 more to go. In S46, they are close to getting out of the rebuild. With not getting 1st OA 6 times in a row, they still amassed a decent prospect pool and a decent roster, they only have 5 balls this time. There is also an expansion this time around, so there are more balls than ever. San Francisco Pride - 35 balls Tampa Bay Barracuda - 25 balls Buffalo Stampede - 20 balls Chicago Syndicate - 10 balls New Orleans Specters - 10 balls Hamilton Steelhawks - 10 balls Calgary Dragons - 5 balls Manhattan Rage - 5 balls To JY’s relief, they didnt win the lotto, but they were also weren’t the 2nd runner up. They were the 6th runner up, so the pain can subside and focus on trying to make the playoffs. And S46 and S47 they made the playoffs! And then came crashing down in S48 where they were last in the league. But trading for some guy named Luke Thomason, San Francisco owned their first San Francisco Pride (via Manhattan Rage) - 35 balls Los Angeles Panthers - 25 balls Texas Renegades (via Minnesota Chiefs, via Buffalo Stampede) - 20 balls Chicago Syndicate - 10 balls Texas Renegades - 5 balls Edmonton Blizzard (via New England Wolfpack) - 5 balls And guess what, 2nd runner up again. What an epic moment where Manhattans pick faltered again. And from that, for that decade, Manhattan was in the draft lotto for 8/10 seasons. And from that, 6 of those times, JY was 2nd runner up for winning 1st OA. The final season was actually like 2 hours ago, when the S60 draft lotto, where we see another expansion draft, with Manhattan having the 2nd highest odds, and they have toronto’s 1st round pick with 5 balls - 30 Balls - 25 balls (owned by ) - 20 balls - 20 balls - 20 balls - 15 balls - 10 balls (owned by ) - 5 balls And guess what, the Stars pick was 8th runner up, but the Manhattan pick was the 2nd runner up!! So from all of this, out of 9 draft lotto’s Manhattans 1st round pick was 2nd runner up 7 out of 9 times! So good job @JayWhy congrats on being cursed
