The S59 SMJHL draft coming a week after the SHL Draft made it the worst draft ever. Allowing J GMs more time for scouting as SHL free agency and call-ups proceeded was awful, since it totally didn't allow J GMs to have rosters and budgets settled quickly and easily after the draft. This season was way better.
