The time has come. Your talent has been noticed by scouts at the highest junior level, and you are set to be drafted into the Simulation Major Junior Hockey League. What are the talents you possess that got you on the radar for these scouts that will get, or got, you picked in the S61 SMJHL Draft?
Written option: Write about the main strengths of your player in 50 words or more. Graphic option: Make a graphic of your player demonstrating their main strength. Must include a player/render and mention what the strength is. Reward 2 TPE for doing the thing. (Just one of the options, not both.) Only S61 SMJHL Rookies (S62 SHL Draftees) are eligible for this PT. Do NOT claim TPE for this task until a post has been made in the claim thread. Deadline Friday August 20th, 23:59 EST ![]() Donators S15 Challenge Cup Champion
Rebecca Montagne will be one of the goaltenders to watch out for. Her reflexes are out of this world and she will be the lock on the defence your team is looking for! While there are enough goalies in the draft, you will want the goalie who knows what area's of her game she needs to work on. Being coached by multiple current SHL goalies, will help her skyrocket her draft stock. Montagne is the goalie you want, just put your trust in her and she will not let you down.

The main strengths of my new player "Ben Jammin" are that I am planning for him to be a reliable two-way defencemen in the league! I hope that he will be one of those players that can be utilized in every situation in the game. Ben as of now has a good starting base for physical attributes with his highest stat being 14 stamina. His long nights of DJ'ing and popping balloons will hopefully help him out when trying to stop opposing players from entering the blue line. (88 words) ![]() Registered Member
Main strengths, you say? Probably accuracy with the puck. It seems like Tommy can shoot the puck from anywhere on the ice and somehow it makes it in to the back of the net. That, and his lateral quickness. The kid can flat out skate. Forward, backward, even sideways - you're not gonna see him passed by anyone.

Anzelms Krastiņš is going to be a force to be reckoned with. At 6’7” and 235 lbs., he has the size to cover the net but also the quickness and maneuverability to make sure nothing goes past him. He’s also a very quick learner and a great listener when it comes to soaking in information from coaches and more senior players. He’s also very well-rounded and without low skill in any of the goaltending categories. Anzelms will be a great learner and player. He will be happy to play anywhere and just wants a chance to prove himself.

My main strength comes from being a complete player. I know that hockey doesn't happen on just one side of the ice and it's important to play defensively. I'm going to put up a lot of goals but I'm also going to make sure that I'm on the penalty kill to help out the team. No one wants an Ovechkin.

Akash SixNine Jr.'s main strength stems from that exactly, his strength. He is poised to be one of the fiercest wingers entering the SMJHL draft this season, and aims to cement himself at the top of all the leaderboards, especially leading the league in hits. Alongisde his strength, SixNine aims to use this to put the puck in the back of the net and help his team win every single game

In the words of the one-hundred hockey men: Nasty in the corners and hard to play against. These are the words that describe Jaeger Jones as a player. Jones uses all of his frame to cause havoc in front of opposing goaltender and is always looking to separate players from the puck. He has surprising soft hands for a power forward and one hell of a shot. All in all drafting Jones gets you goals and some highlight reel hits.

Strengths:
Poise: not one to get into his own head; is able to keep himself locked in when other young guns would fold under pressure Style: comparable to Tim Thomas or Dominik Hašek; never gives up on a play Positioning: The above helps bail him out of tough situations, but the key to making a save is already being in position once the shot is made. Weaknesses: Size: Height dominates goal-tending, and at 5'8", Wall is severely lacking in this department. (84 words) ![]() Registered Senior Member
Viktor Krunk is an agile skater with great balance and fantastic hand-eye coordination. His eye for goal is natural and he looks tough enough that he doesn't get roughed up much.
His main attribute is his work rate - he is fuelled by the belief that his hockey talent will one day bestow mythical status upon him in his homeland of Russia and that he will be able to use this to inspire the reformation of the Soviet Union. ![]() ![]() Registered Posting Freak
Paul Koivu will be the greatest playmaker the SHL has ever seen. He's not the one to score the goals, but he's the one setting up the whole play and making the right passes at the right time to score. He's also reliable defensively, which makes him a great two way player at the same time

My player, Sconnie McHits, aims to be a playmaker and distributed on the offensive end, looking for teammates in scoring positions and using stick handling to get into good positions. However, Sconnie's game isn't confined to the offensive end. McHits wants to be a real two-way player, rushing back down the ice to lay hits on the opponent, dropping in on defense, and (hey, it's hockey) getting into some scraps here or there. McHits plans to be a vocal, active, and positive presence in the locker room of whichever team selects him.

Oskar Von Walther’s greatest strength as a professional hockey player is his nose for the net. He’s a heavily offensive orientated player and his willingness to plant himself in front of the opposing goalie is a powerful asset that defines his playstyle.
His weaknesses are primarily defensive though he has shown an eagerness to fix that in the future. Quote:59 Words ![]() HOF Committee Winnipeg Aurora
Mikko Rashford is the new shiny toy in town. Hailing from Finland, the offensively gifted defensemen also brings a well rounded defensive game to the rink. Look for Rashford to make a name for himself over the next few years as he keeps the opposition forwards at bay and keeps the puck moving in the offensive zone.
