Quebec City Citadelles Announce S61 Captains
#1

The Quebec City Citadelles are proud to announce their Captains and Alternate Captains for Season 61 of the SMJHL.

Tearful adieus were bid to previous Captain Mew Two and Main Alternate Brian Davenport, who will be playing in the SHL on the Baltimore Platoon and Seattle Argonauts, respectively. Mew Two led the team to 35 wins during the 60th season as QCC's powerhouse RW, scoring 21 goals and 41 assists for a whopping total of 62 points. Davenport was also intrumental to QCC as Center, and scored 15 goals and 36 assists for 51 total points. They will be sorely missed as the team makes their S61 run for the Four Star Cup.

Votes from the QCC players were tallied and the results are out!

For Captain: Greyson Cooper (@goilers)
In S60, LW Cooper scored 25 goals and 24 assists, contributing to 49 of QCC's 78 season points. Cooper's prowess isn't limited just to his skills on the ice, he's also an incredible leader to the team. In season 59, his rookie year, he was voted as Home Alternate and served that position the following season as well. All QCC players agree that Cooper's leadership is instrumental in the team's successes, making him the perfect choice for team captain. Cooper's bond with teammates in the locker room makes QCC an incredibly tight-knit team, and he has certainly earned the C that will adorn his jersey this season.

For Main Alternate: Joe Burrow (@LSUFAN101)
Also a LW, Burrow matched Cooper for assists, with 7 goals and 24 assists for a total of 31 points. Although it was his first season, Burrow suffered no rookie nerves, and was a force to be reckoned with. With 29 PIM, the 6' 200lb winger gave as he got, and was an excellent playmaker to linemates. In the locker room, Burrow is outgoing and works to boost team morale. He isn't afraid to ask teammates for assistance when it's needed, and the team returns all the fondness he has for them.

For Home Alternate: Stan Din'desque (@Inf1d3l)
Din'desque spent 2 seasons as Center for the Anaheim Outlaws, but quickly enamored himself to the QCC team when traded during the offseason. Luckily the 2 teams had only faced off twice in S59 and once in S60, so there were no rivalries to contend with. Din'desque proved himself a powerful center to ANA with 14 goals and 28 assists during S60, and looks to be a great 2nd line C for QCC, with fellow Alternate Burrow as his LW. In the locker room, Din'desque banters with teammates and coaches alike, and voting him as home alternate was no surprise to anyone.

For Away Alternate: Shane Duffy Jr. (@LB3737)
Duffy retains his duties as away alternate captain and as this will be his 4th season with QCC, serves as reliable veteran for the team; a wealth of knowledge and experience. During S60, Duffy scored 19 goals and 37 assists for 56 points total. The hulking Irishman, who stands at 6'8" and 275 lbs, intimidates rivals with his stature, but is a gentle giant to teammates. With only 4 PIM during the season, Duffy makes a name for himself with smart plays that only someone his size could make work.

Please join the QCC team in congratulating our new and returning captains!

It's weird how you misspelled Aksel Fiske four different ways.
