Quick question, and I don't know how amenable to a quick transform your data would be -- is draft order position correlated to desirable roster at all? My assumption would be not really, but that'd be cool to look at imo!

Your assumption is correct as far as I can see and it also intuitively makes sense for a snake draft.

One thing to note is that the results I got here are affected by any first round skips. So someone who was supposed to pick 1st, 16th, 17th, 32nd, 33rd, and 48th, but was skipped for their 1st pick will be included in whichever group they made their first pick at. For example if they were skipped at 1st overall and didn't make their pick until 3rd overall, they'd be included in the "Order 3" group even though they still got the 16th, 17th, 32nd, 33rd, and 48th picks. With most groups acting normally though I don't think this is an issue.

Anyone who is curious about the data and wants to analyze custom metrics themselves is welcome to copy the spreadsheet provided at the top of the article and look into whatever ideas they may have, but I'm also happy to answer questions like this as long as they don't take too much time.
