PLAYER PROMPT

Adelie de Pengu is big on anything to do with conservation or animal help or control and such, he's really gotten into pokemon as there are safairs and the like. Obviously his favorite pokemon is Piplup, but as he's gotten accustomed to playing he's frequently talked to other players in Manhattan about the game and its gotten their attention as well. As such, the players have really invested in wanting to get to know Adelie more and so they too have picked up pokemon and on these long boring flights, the team has started a bit of a pokemon club. The get together and have team battles and trade and just have an all around good time as they discover new things together. They've gotten fairly competitive as well and in their free time some of the players have competed in tournaments beside Adelie. Its a pokemon world and we're just living in it.

Prompt 2:

My dream jet would be just that! It would have it all! It would be known as a party jet and would feature a bar that is complete with all the fun casino games. Poker and blackjack tables for the card guys and roulette for me at it is my favourite! Though not everyone on the team wants to do this kinda stuff all the time so I would have different compartments for all the different activities! There would be a sleeping room where there are multiple sleeping pods for those who want to catch some sleep. There would be a film room for the coaches as I know Gurbs needs all the help he can get. There would be a separate theatre area for watching movies or playing the latest and greatest video games head-to-head. My dream jet would have something for everyone on the team! I would likely be found kicking back in the movie room watching the latest TV series or movies with anyone who wanted to join.

God damn what an amazing PT dude, major respect for making a good one. The first prompt and honestly I can just picture Jon Forty One as a miserable bastard in the back or corner of every plane ride either trying to focus on the upcoming match or just trying to get a nap on the trip if it is long enough. I like the idea of him doing puzzles or maybe a single player game like solitaire with a pack of cards though as a stress relieving type thing. Maybe a word search, sudoku or crossword puzzle too could be good fun.

The less human interaction for the miserable git that is Jon Forty One the better. I have been on 4 teams in my 3 years doing it excluding the terrible Whalers team and I can't imagine this changing on any of them. I have been blessed with amazing team mates but honestly I think the situation is just rinse repeat with what I just said earlier cause players may try to include him but he wouldn't want to care about them. It is just who Jon is at this point.

Creative prompt:
My dream hockey jet may seem kinda simple but I feel like way too much could ruin the fun, so just give me a pretty normal jet, but get Xbox’s and PlayStations set up, not just the new ones, but older generations as well. Have a line up of classic games that people could pick out and have fun. Also i love Buffalo chicken so we’d just constantly serve that, I also am a big Baja Blast kinda guy, honestly I’d want to plane to be sponsored by Mt Dew, we paint it the light blue and have the words Baja Blast written huge on the side. Also that’d be the main drink we serve. I love Baja Blast. Also I would be able to bring my cats into the jet. I don’t know if that’s a thing already but it is very important that I would be able to bring my kitties on board with me so they can never be alone. They’re very needy

Prompt 2:

If I was to have my own plane, it would have quite a few things.  First would be a map on the wall, with everywhere I have visited.  Next there would be a nice long table, with a shelf nearby with games and puzzles on it, to be able to play with friends.  One of those games being Superfight.  I would also make sure there were 2 bathrooms: one for regular people, and one for deer like me.  You don't know how difficult it is to have to try to fit in a person specific toilet in a plane.  I would also have several comfy couches with plug-ins for charging things, and a flat screen tv to be able to play video games.  They would also double as beds, being able to unfold them to be able to sleep when you need to.  You will know immediately which plane is mine, because it will have a unique color combination: Dark Green and Orange, my 2 favorite colors.  This would be the team's backup plane in case the other plane needs repairs, otherwise, it would be my own personal plane during the off season.

Player prompt:

I've been on many different groups during my career. That simply happens if you play in the league for such a long time and various players join your team and leave again. More often than not I used to hang out with whoever was the backup goalie during that particular season - a lot of them seemed to be more of a quiet type, perhaps Scoochie being an exception - and we would watch TV shows together. Of course the team has the typical groups that play games together too (cards and video games), they're mostly the younger guys and they pick the spots in the front. I've been part of many of those groups as well, because there is only so much you can do on a plane. Nowadays I prefer to sleep, something I wasn't able to early in my career, but you get used to everything after some years or regular plane travel. I pick a quiet spot on the plane, I bring my own pillow(!) and take a nap.

Prompt 2
Makrus has often dreamed of what it must be like to be rich. Being but a humble hockey player he only has 30 million dollars saved up in his rainy-day fund. If he were rich one of the first things he would buy is a private jet. One the team could take to games or down to the grocery store. Wherever they need to go. The jet would have no seats. All seats are actually couches. Makrus has to keep several spares on hand due to the damage couches suffer from drunk hockey players or wolves. Next there will be several hot tubs. Who doesn’t love hot tubs. Not sure how but the hot tubs will be at the edge of a pool. One of those pools with a bar in the center. So everyone can swim and drink as much as they want. Meanwhile at the front of the jet there would be a move screen. From the couches or the pool/hot tub you could see whatever cool hockey movie was on. The choices are The Mighty Ducks or Goon. For inclusivity purposes one of the hot tubs will have a log floating in it and a heat lamp. As well as one of the couches replaced by a patch of organic grass.

The LA Panthers team plane recently received a pretty hefty upgrade, thanks in no small part to the increase in ticket sales over the last 2-3 seasons. On the jet, there's plenty of space for all of the regular starters, and even the backup goalie whose name I can never remember. Some key amenities include: a 'full' bar with several types of top-shelf liquor and two beers on tap, a very large selection of movies that can be played for everyone on the big screen, personal screens in the headrests for players to browse the internet or maybe watch something else on their own, a wide variety of pastries made by Claude the pastry chef made available for morning flights, and, of course, Hans the masseuse. Hans ironically doesn't get that much work on the ground during the season, but since he pretty much kept Jimmy Slothface alive in his last season, Hans has become the team's go-to guy for muscle work on the plane during these long trips.

What happens on the Calgary Dragons' team plane stays on the Calgary Dragons' team plane. Unless I tell you about it, I guess. I'm not sure why I would do such a thing. You want to know about the groups that form in the Dragons' locker room, and how those carry over to the flights? That's kind of a weird question, dude, but okay, sure. Well, for starters, some of the older guys have a euchre group. I don't know how to play the game, so I more or less leave them alone, but I've seen six figures change hands in a single game. Above my pay grade, that's for sure. Personally, I'm much more interested, and invested, in the Nap Club, wherein a bunch of the guys get together in a small cabin in the back, shut the shades on the windows, and zonk out for as long as possible before touching down at the next destination.

While all of Slavakov’s flight with the Blizzard were normal, his first one with the Pride was one he was never going to forget. Dubbed the Pride Ride from Hell (Naturally after a game against the Inferno), there were about 3 different issues that causes a ruckus. First, a massive fight broke out between Kevens and Simonsson to see who was the tougher player, which resulted in them fighting up and down the plane. Eventually Slavakov, Hefeweizen, and Oscarsson had to break the fight up before any more damage was done. After that calmed down, Svoboda ended up in a fight with Samuelsson when both of them were drunk, which led to the Czechia patch on Svoboda’s bag being cut off in an act of revenge. Finally, Bjerg was caught serenading his ex-GM partner HLO with love songs about their days as a duo, before Klompus told him to knock it off. As crazy as this whole plane ride was, it oddly enough brought the team closer, as if we can survive eachother we can survive anything.

Sven has a lot of jobs between being a top defenseman for the Edmonton Blizzard and the Great Britain Federation Head, so he has to travel quite a bit. With that in consideration, he figured that buying a luxury jet was more of an investment than an expense, since he would be spending a large amount of his time on that jet. He made sure that it has plenty in it to be comfortable, including high end couches and televisions so he can watch game film of both the SHL and IIHF in comfort. There is also half of a skating rink in the mid part of the jet so he can practice while traveling. Behind the ice is a sauna to make sure he can recover in between locations, he wants to make sure he's in top shape no matter where he is. After all, there's no choice but to have the best jet for the best Sven.

The ATL jet plane would absolutely have Kanye West listening parties throughout the whole trip, specifically for Donda. It doesn't matter if you're not into it or a huge fan, it will happen, it will be loud, and you will be forced to grow used to it. Towards the back of the plane there'd be a stocked fridge of craft beers of all sorts where we could shoot the shit on everyone's taste while sipping a cold one. Hidden away on one row there'd be an open group for the Retro Bowl club, but this would pretty much just be one person playing the game and asking how everyone else is doing while everyone else has moved on and doesn't even have their phones out. One row of seats would be boxed off so no one could sit, but pictures of otters would be plastered all over the seats. Players would be encouraged to add otter pics as they come across them, or you can simply walk by and observe the art.

On the St. Louis Scarecrow plane, there are many groups, some playing cards, some playing video games, and others that are just hanging out to have a good time. Me, personally, I usually hang out at the video game station to play SHL 22 with some of the guys and then head over later on to the guys who are hanging around the table showing off some of their SHL Hockey Cards, and miking some pretty sweet trades. Then near the end, dropping into the game of players who were knocked out of the original game of poker, and still losing to the losers would be me. Then, my personalized seat is super comfortable, with my headphones on, playing my Relax playlist, and hopefully dosing off at the end to get a few moments of restful sleep, is the usual plane flight of Jayden Cloutier on the St. Louis Scarecrows plane flight.

Quote:Written Task:  Tell me about your dream hockey jet. What kind of facilities would be on it? Would it mostly be a place of business where you make everyone watch game tape and get some rest? Or would it be a pure party jet with hot tubs and open bars? Some combination of both? Sky's the limit! Heh. (150+ words).

The best hockey jet that there ever could be would obliviously have an amazing paint job on the outside, a giant eye under the cockpit from the raptor, with his body all the way back over the wings and up the tail fin.  Then inside it's part rehab and part party, but all fun.  This double decker plane has everything, from full size beds to actually get sleep (don't forget to buckle up), to some bunk beds and couches for the "fun" players.  If it isn't about rest, it's about relaxation in the three hot tubs, and two of the small motion pools where you swim against the current.  Ice baths, you want an ice bath?  Yeah we've got that too, for after those games where you get completely rocked and can't feel your appendages.  Just like how the cool kids flock to the back of the bus, the same goes for the plan as that's the fun zone.  I don't know how that we did it, but we were able to fit in laser tag in the belly of the jet, because who doesn't like laser tag?  In the back it's got the poker tables, blackjack tables, and somehow we fit in the Plinko Board from 'The Price is Right'.  And don't forget the flight simulator, where you can plug yourself in for that four hour flight that replicates the exact path the current plane is taking, (because we all know that is the funnest thing to do...)
