Texas Renegades Team Awards - S64
Hey Renegades! It’s the end of another season and playoffs! It’s the first season with @Yagoyi in the big GM chair and I think we can all say he’s done a great job at keeping the team competitive, finishing up with 101 points, good enough for second in the league, and some great numbers as well as a huge effort by everyone on the team this season!
The locker room has been a fun place to be this season, I’ve been spending way more time getting to know everyone with this being my rookie year. Time zones make it tough for everyone to watch the games together but every win is celebrated together regardless.
We’ve had some great accomplishments amongst the Renegades this season and this is an opportunity to celebrate those players! So let’s get into it!

Renegades Renegades Renegades Renegades Renegades Renegades Renegades Renegades Renegades Renegades Renegades Renegades Renegades  Renegades Renegades

Renegades The Texas Renegade "Sharpshooter" Award Renegades
(most goals this season)
This season, Texas had 5 players on the team with 20 or more goals! But only one of those players went over that twenty goal mark this season!
Your Texas Renegade Sharpshooter this season is:
Lemo Pihl!
Lemo had a great goal scoring season with 30 goals! Lemo has been increasing their goals scored every season and hitting 30 is a huge milestone! It's definitely worth celebrating and we know Lemo will go above and beyond 30 in the coming seasons!

Renegades The Texas Renegade "Wheel Horse" Award  Renegades
(most assists this season)
You can have your goal scorers but without teammates on the ice to get that puck to you you're definitely not going to get those great chances!
Your Texas Renegade Wheel Horse this season is:
Theo Kondos!
Theo is a kind human so it’s only fitting they’re the one on the ice looking to dish the puck out and rack up those apples. Theo hit 59 assists this season, that’s 19 more assists than last season! Theo definitely figured something out this season and we can’t wait to see him hit 60 and more!

Renegades The Texas Renegades "Big Tex" Award Renegades
(most points this season)
Every team has a superstar. One that might shine a bit brighter than everyone else, or maybe the player that happens to be on the ice anytime there's a goal scored wheter they're the one scoring it or found a way to get the puck to the goal scorer. This season, The Renegades had one player leading the pack.
Your Texas Renegade Big Tex is:
Theo Kondos!
Leading the team with 86 points and tied for 3rd for most points in the league, Theo showed they can score when there’s no one to pass the puck to! With 23 more points than last season, Theo showed they are indeed a superstar on the Renegades roster!

Renegades The Texas Renegades "Fantobens Special" Award Renegades
(most hits this season)
Every team needs players who are ready and willing to throw everything on the line in order to get those wins. Sometime that everything includes throwing yourself. The player who threw their body the most this season and earning the Fantobens Special is:
Ryosuke Sato!
Sato threw the body 150 times this season and might have 150 bruises to show for it. But you should see the other guys. Sato is 6th in the league in hits this season so other teams should always be aware that at some point the Ryosuke Express is coming for them.

Renegades The Texas Renegades "Bangtail" Award Renegades
(most shots blocked this season)
One of the most important roles on the team is sacrificing the body in order to block a shot.
Your Texas Renegade Bangtail this season is:
Adam Scianna!
Scianna put their body on the line 112 times this season and also has 112 bruises to show for it, unfortunately the puck still looks the same. Your goalies thank you Adam!

Renegades The Texas Renegades "Varmint" Award Renegades
(most penalty minutes this season)
Every team needs someone who’s going to stand up for your team, and sit in the box for a few to think about it.
Your Texas Renegade Varmint this season is:
Joseph Fantobens!
Fantobens was good for 30 minutes in the penalty box this season, making a career total 490 minutes in the box! We’ll be sure to celebrate minute 500 on the bench next season!

Renegades The Texas Renegades "Ranahan" Award Renegades
(top performing goaltender this season)
No team is complete without solid goaltending, and this season we’ve been incredibly fortunate in that area.
Your Texas Renegade Ranahan is:
Cillian Kavanagh
AND
Podan Podanovic
That’s right! Both our tendies are number one this season. They’ve both had such impressive seasons that none could outshine the other!
With the most games played, Kavanagh gave us 35 wins this season with some stellar numbers like a 0.911% save percentage and an amazing 7 shut outs!
Meanwhile Podanovic gave us a perfect 12 win, zero loss performance with an outstanding 0.945% save percentage!
Without either of them, Texas would certainly not be where they are in the standings!

Renegades The Texas Renegades "Buckaroo" Award Renegades
(top performing rookie this season)
This season we had two Season 62 rookies come up for their first season in the SHL and one of them absolutely played their mind off.
Your Texas Renegade Buckaroo this season is:
Kentaro Kikuchi!
Kikuchi came into the league absolutely buzzing and tallied up 22 goals and 28 assists, good enough for an amazing 50 point rookie season! What an amazing start to an SHL career! We are absolutely stoked to see you develop into an amazing player!

Renegades The Texas Renegade "Gaucho" Award Renegades
(Playoff MVP this season)
Playoffs were a wild ride this season. We were once again up against Chicago and it felt like every game was a dice roll. Unfortunately it ended dramatically with a double overtime loss in game 7. We do however have some outstanding players during our playoff run.It was certainly a team effort to get as far as we did in the playoffs this season and everyone definitely did their part to get every win we had. One player in particular really stepped up their game.
Your Texas Renegade Gaucho is:
High Haschdi!
Haschdi stepped up and totalled 15 points during the playoff run and really showed how valuable they are to the team. Haschdi is yet another player with a bright future! We look forward to seeing more of your success!

And that's a wrap for this season's team awards. The Renegades weren't quite sure how this season would go when they laced up under the new general manager but they definitely exceeded expectations. The future for Texas is far from carved in stone but there's definitely an exciting off season coming and more opportunity to see what more of Texas's prospects are capable of! Everyone on the team did their part this season to reach this success, we were a team all season long as we all came together to accomplish this incredible season. Thanks for reading and congratulations to all the amazing players!

Thanks for the title and the great read! Congrats to all the guys mentioned here and the reat of the team too! We all couldn’t have done it without each other Cheers  We had a wonderful squad and it was a great season for us indeed, despite the sad ending. I wish I could now continue with “and we’ll be back even better next season” but with the announced rebuild likely about to start, I would perhaps be raising expectations too high. But we’ll see how it goes when we get there. We overachieved our expectations this season, so who says we can’t do it again? Wink TEX TEX TEX!

After 69 shots on net with still no SHL goals to show for it, even the opposition started to feel so sorry for Lemo, that they decided to help him out :D
- Bad pass by Jack Klompus, he gave it right to Lemo Pihl.
- Lemo Pihl rips it to the net...
- Lemo Pihl will find the empty net, that should do it!
