Haven't done one of these in a while, but I figure now is a good time.

Ask me anything about my player, my new role as co-GM of Seattle or my articles or anything else really!

Great question! I think tig obviously knows a lot more about the SHL than me and has the experience here in the league. He has the insight of how people do things here. I think sometimes that can be that people here are a bit stuck in their ways and maybe having a more "outside" perspective like that is a great balance. I bring to the table strategies and expertise from other leagues and maybe some of those can be beneficial here too. I bring knowledge of many people that will be in drafts, free agency and more, just from being in sim leagues for a long time. I think I bring strong strategy and long-term planning, which has always been my strength.

Honestly, it is really different in some ways. There are some pretty different rules here and I had to spent an hour or two reading the rulebook to familiarize myself with some of the specifics of the league. I was also immediately in a live draft, something PBE and ISFL stopped doing many seasons ago and it gave me flashbacks of the anxiety and such that I always experienced. Not a huge fan of them haha. But it is also fun. I think it is a much bigger challenge for me here, just cause I am not entirely sure how things work yet and I need to settle in a bit. I also think that there are certain things the SHL does differently in terms of GM mindsets that I personally struggle to understand so I am curious how that will go in the future.

I obviously trust tig and he knows what he is doing. I am very much a sponge and will try to learn a lot from him. And happy to help the team and him in any way that I can. I do want to be more hands on, but at the same time I am not always sure yet how I can help or what I can do. Over time I think that will be easier and I think this is sort of a transitional period for the SHL in general, with possible changes to the game and also with the cap rule changes, so a lot is new to other people too.

Hahaha. Ummm. I mean I guess I think an Argonaut sized Barracuda, even though in water that thing would clearly be superior to me. Another reason why I picked this is because a Barracuda and a human are pretty much equal size it seems (6 feet?). And apparently Barracuda attacks on humans are rare. So maybe I could surprise them.

This is a wonderful and great question. Or several honestly. I think that any GM experience is certainly helpful when it comes to being a GM here too. A lot of the things are similar, despite the differences. How to build a team, how to talk to people, how to build a locker room, how to make it enticing to stay with a team, those are all the same really. I think long term strategy and planning is especially something that I enjoy doing with the Sloths and I think it will be hugely helpful here too, especially with the recent cap changes.

GM discord has been alright honestly. People have been helpful and friendly so far. The live chat was wild to me. The speed! Besides you and tig, I want to highlight Jess who I have always been extremely fond of and who I respect greatly and seeing her in this role here is a joy and she was immediately helpful as well and offered more help if I needed it.
