the most obnoxious thing I ever did for TPE, and that includes all that nonsense you used to have to do to redistribute everything out of the various pieces of equipment
If every PBP thread could be top tier, then this might be something to explore. I have lots of great memories of refreshing a PBP, sitting on the edge of my seat, totally engrossed in the writing of the host. That being said, those memories are few and far between, and when I think of PBP's I am generally flooded with thoughts of PBP hosts disappearing mid-game, or pacing their PBP extremely slow, or skipping whole periods, or forgetting which team a player is on, or.. well you get the point I'm sure. The TPE incentive tied to the PBPs made them super attractive, but the vast majority of users (and I mean no offense by this) who wrote a PBP were just not very good writers. I always felt that if there were a "PBP team" who handled all PBPs it would eliminate the enormous disparity in quality of the PBPs.
Right now we have a play-by-play streamed via youtube, with a visual representation of the plays shown, and I just don't see how you could beat that with the old PBP style.
