S65 Draft Class Analysis
As the members of S65 get ready to be called up to the big leagues, I want to revisit the draft and look a little at how the different members have shaken out in terms of draft ranking and TPE earnings. Who was as steal? Who was a bust? Should I have been drafted by Luke way sooner? The answer to that last question is yes and we will go into it now.
I want to preface by saying that drafting off of one season of activity will always be hard as the GMs have to take a ton of leaps of faith when they are on the clock. New members are wild cards and old users can be jaded with team preferences. It is like a mine field where you have to throw in some dynamite and hopefully get some gems where you did not expect any to be. So without further ado, lets remind ourselves of the draft order of the first two rounds:

Notice that I am there at number 27. Quite a few teams passed on my excellent defender until I dropped all the way for NEW to draft me. Fun fact, Luke drafted my first player and was quite happy to pick me back up. So all is not lost now that I am playing for the rival of my former team. It’s a good thing I like cups because the pack are definitely going to be getting one.

So first some fun facts:
1. There are currently 39 active users in this draft class
2. There are 27 IA
3. Hamilton drafted the most currently active players at 6 with an average of 722 TPE between all of them. Which means that in 3-4 seasons they are going to all be monsters again. The long game for sure.
4. EDM drafted 5 with an average of 842 TPE between them
5. NEW and BAP drafted 3
6. WPG, TOR, and PHI drafted 2
7. Everyone else is at 1
8. NEW drafted the most inactive users at 4
9. Manhattan, HAM, and MIN each drafted 3 inactive users
10. The highest TPE of an inactive user was 473 by Bibleman who visits the site but has not updated since July but has posted claims from S67 so he was set to active for this report

Continuing the point number 2. I am pretty sure that this was the season that EDM and HAM announced their rebuild intentions so it makes sense that they had the highest number of picks.
