Personally, Aumy Junior II doesn't like Anchorage ''Armada'' from SMJHL. It's only because his father early in his career had some issues with this organization. However, this beef was pretty childish, but rivalry has never disappeared. It's only normal that this kid keeps the rivalry up and wants to get some type of revenge. He's doing pretty good against ''Armada'' right now though, sitting at 2-1. ''Kraken'' even had a blowout victory against this team (7:1).

Since this is the first season of Aumy's career, there can't be many rivals out there. However, the biggest rivals for him right now are Maine ''Timber'' and Newfoundland ''Berserkers''. His team Carolina ''Kraken'' sits at the third place in an entire league. Only these two teams are higher than ''Kraken''. Exactly ''Timber'' is that one team which has gave some headache to Carolina team this season so far.

It's hard to talk about rivals in the first seasons, but it is what it is. It looks like the biggest rivals will only show up with the time. Hopefully there won't be any unexpected rivals which he is loving now.

Back with my first player, the Montreal Militia was my biggest rival in the SHL, but since they don’t exist anymore, I don’t really have much in terms of SMJHL teams that I don’t really like or have an issue with. Colorado is probably the team that I would pick as my “rival” as they are the team I GM’d and have pretty much nothing but positive memories of my time there. They’re good people and they’re in a similar window in terms of where their development is as an organization and their draft strategies. If I wanted to come up with a contrived and not at all serious reason, they did pass over my player at 2nd overall which allowed me to get to 3rd overall where St. Louis drafted me. I’m not bothered by that or anything though, and I wish them success, except for when they play us Crows of course.

I don't know if I know the Whalers biggest rival all time, but it has to be one of the remaining super old SMJHL teams in the league, right? So, that narrows it down to Kelowna, Detroit, or St. Louis.

When I first started, Kelowna seemed really snooty. I was probably just jealous that they were winning cups while my beloved Regina Force struggled to ever have winning seasons (although, check out how stacked that S19 Regina Force roster was). They seemed to be a pretty tight knit group, which made them very easy to hate. These days, I don't think that's the case anymore. Artemis is one of my favorite users on the site, so I think the organization has maybe changed in the last ten years or so.

St. Louis is a working mans team. A real hockey player's hockey team. I had some friends on this squad, and don't think they've ever done me too dirty in the postseason, so they get a pass.

Detroit is an enigma to me. It's a team that I have never played for in my entire time in the league. I couldn't tell you a single person who's ever played for Detroit, ever, like, all time. That kind of anonymity frightens me, so I guess they're my biggest rival.

Let’s discuss The Vancouver Whalers Whalers vs The Kelowna Knights! Knights They play one another next, and it will be a doozy. These two teams have always been provincial rivals.

Vancouver:
We have a bigger city
We are right beside the ocean
We have the PNE (A carnival that claims to be Disneyland of Canada)

Kelowna:
We have better lakes
We have better wineries.
We are closer to the Rockies
(Also your city isn’t even the capital city for BC so get over it Vancouver)

These two teams hate each other and have for years, Vancouver one of the original SMJHL teams was never good enough to be a part of the SHL. Kelowna a true SMJHL city was brought in during season 2. They both have 12 Four Star Cups to their name.

Its true Vancouver is doing significantly better then Kelowna right now in the standings, but the truth is Kelowna is saving its energy for the playoffs when it really matters, while Vancouver is spilling its load right now.

Worst of all they drafted Bob Wehadababyitsaboy (228 TPE) over top of Logan Webb (246 TPE) with the first overall pick! Clearly a choice that will come back to bite Vancouver in the ass over the next 4 seasons.

Plus the Whalers Logo sucks Compared to the Knights, I mean common it isn't even close! Whalers or Knights

Mercedes Baylé has so many rivals. I think it comes down to the 13 people that were picked in front of her because Just-to-Buy My-Love is not a rival since they are on the same team. Her goal is just to be so much better than every other person in the draft class with special concentration on the people that were chosen ahead of her. There's no way that anyone should have gone ahead of her, so the fact that so many people did, they automatically become rivals. When you look at the draft class in terms of TPE, who is #1 in TPE right now... none other than Mercedes Baylé.

When it comes to teams, Yukon and Carolina. Carolina has eliminated the Elk the past two seasons in the playoffs, so it's time to come back and avenge those losses. Before that, Yukon and Anaheim was the big rivals just because of the battles between the two teams. It's great history, but this time, Regina is coming out on top.

I think knowing Nevada's initial history, I would say Quebec is probably the team I would consider their intrinsic rival. I mean, both were expansion teams in the same expansion. There were a lot of comparisons between the two with they started, even with a Thunderdome happening about Nevada's management. They were compared constantly, typically in QCC's favor and while Nevada has improved QCC has not slowed down much either. QCC is a competitive team and is well managed to mean they are always a team one would like to beat. Nevada is also well-managed and is going on the upswing. When it comes to rivalries I think they work best when both teams can compete. Otherwise, it's a TN v Florida Football in the 2010s type beat and I don't need to relive my trauma. In summary, the two teams are and will always be tied to one another. For better or for worse, in sickness and in health. Amen

The Regina Elk still have a short history and not much animosity with other clubs, mostly due to all the GMs that the team ever had being so nice with every other GMs and making friends all across the league, and spreading this mentality of hockey being only a game. We should all be friends on and off the ice. But a little bit less on the ice, you need to have a bit of competitiveness. Such competitiveness can be seen on the ice between Regina and Great Falls, as well as Yukon. The Regina and Great Falls rivalry is really pure competition to reach some achievements first, as both teams joined the league at the same time. The competition with Yukon is from repeated opposition in the playoffs over a short span of time between the two franchises, right around the time Anaheim became Yukon. But off the ice we still think they're great people and it's all in good sport.

“The Wheel of Time turns, and Ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth comes again. ... There are neither beginnings nor endings to the Wheel of Time. But it was a beginning.”
