In Sports, and even more so in hockey, records hold a valuable place. Records help fans choose who was the Greatest of All Time, who the best goalie was, etc. For players, it sets goals and benchmarks, marks career milestones and achievements. In this Article We will take a look at some of the records that we think are due to be broken in the next SMHJL season.

1. Most Hits in A Season - Current Holder: Bender Junior (261)In recent years, we have seen this record be broken again, and again. If You look at the top 5, you will see that players from recent seasons (last 3 Seasons) make up for most of the list. We think that this trend will continue and that this record will once again be broken. We predict that some player will break the record with somewhere north of 270 hits this season in the SMJHL.

2. Most Assists in A Season - Current Holder: Peter Tingle (68)
          This is another record which has been inching forward in recent seasons. It has been slowly creeping up and that is why we think that it will again be broken next season. We are betting that for the first time, someone will hit the 70 assist mark. This would be a great milestone and would certainly etch said player into the history books.

3.Most Shutouts in a Season - Current Holder: Jeff Newman (13)
This one is a bit of a reach. The Current Record was set back in Season 69 and at the time, it had steam rolled the previous record of 8. Ever since this record was set, no one has even come close to it. We think that will change. We predict that someone will miraculously come out of nowhere and barely edge out this record. We think said goalie will get 14 shutouts this season.

The most shutouts in a season will probably not be broken soon, but the others maybe.

There is some words missing in your first paragraph, you might want to look at it.

Yeah the Shutouts record is a bit of a reach but who knows. I fixed the 1st paragraph ty for telling me.
