Switzerland 7 - Latvia 5 The lack of defense in this matchup was amazing, but the Swiss pulled ahead thanks to the 2 late goals in the third after the Latvians made the comeback to tie it. Day 8 - October 11, 2039 Great Britain 1 - Finland 4 The Finns played a more physical game against the Brits and, in an otherwise tied statistic matchup, Finland had more puck luck. France 2 - Japan 5 The discipline of the Japanese was on full display as they limited their penalties and controlled the puck for almost a third of the game. Russia 3 - Norway 9 The Norwegians were led by some amazing performances by Grogu Mandosson, Gnabe Dobson as well as Sonja SOlberg, and Tom Pedersen. Day 9 - October 12, 2039 Japan 1 - Germany 9 In this very exciting matchup at the top of the Conference, the Germans managed to score 9 times on 51 shots, with Olaf Karsikko turning away 40 shots. Great Britain 5 - Ireland 2 This Rivalry match had less pomp around it considering the struggles of both nation, but the British were able to win their first game of the tournament with Barg Hazbite scoring twice. Latvia 5 - Switzerland 4 Latvia had a much needed win in front of their fans as the Swiss tried to lay the hurt on the locals with 24 hits. Sweden 5 - United States 2 The Swedes finally ended the US's collective tournament shutout and also handed the Yanks their first lost. The US struggled to put a lot of shots on net with only 19 as the Swedish defense outpaced them. France 2 - Norway 5 The Norwegians are still riding their offense as they rained 47 shots down on the French. The Aksels of the Norwegians continue to performs as does Grogu Mandosson. Day 10 - October 13, 2039 Latvia 5 - Finland 7 In this crucial matchup, Finland beat the host nation as Latvia needs to start stringing wins together to move onto the bracket stage. Mikko Rashford had 2 goals for the Finns. Czechia 2 - Russia 5 The Russians finally won their first game of the tournament as the Czechs' struggles continue. Both only have 1 win and are at the bottom of the Conference. United States 7 - Sweden 3 The US and Sweden had an immediate rematch that ended up in the Americans' favor. The US find themselves on top of their conference, while the Swedes are not far behind, having played less games. Ireland 1 - Switzerland 4 The Swiss far outplayed the Irish and outdid them in every statistic, including penalties. Day 11 - October 14, 2039 France 4 - Germany 5 With an absurd combined 88 shots taken in this game, the Germans unsurprisingly had controlled the puck 66% of the faceoffs. 24 Penalty Minutes made this a very scrappy game, but the Germans remain undefeated in 6 games. Japan 6 - Russia 4 Japan held themselves to only 4 penalty minutes and then scored on 3 power plays as Aleksandr Iskandrov and Alexi Piastri continue their great tournaments. Canada 6 - Norway 7 The Norwegian offense was on full diaplay again with an explosive 6 goals in the second period and the late efforts of the Canadians came up just short.
