Tor Tuck
@ErM

One half of the Tuck Brothers, Tor was a staple on the Edmonton Blizzard defensive end for 21 seasons. Helping lead the Edmonton Blizzard to 2 Cup Wins, Tor Tuck truly shined during the middle of the S40’s and early S50’s. Switching to FHM saw Tor Tuck’s point totals come down, but for a good 8 season stretch Tor Tuck was one of the defenseman in the SHL.
Originally drafted in S37, 7th OA by the Edmonton Blizzard. Edmonton was on the road to rebuilding, having 4 1st round picks during that draft. Called up in S38, Tor Tuck scored 3 goals, 18 assists for 21 points. With 90 hits and 69 shots blocked. Good enough to be on the Rookie All Star Team.
S39-S41 saw Tor Tuck struggle. Not receiving a ton of ice time(16, 13, and then 19 average minutes per game), his points were not there. Only getting 18,18, and 19 points for those seasons. Behind a stacked defense, Tor Tuck finally got more playing time in S42.
S42 saw him with a career high in goals with 7 and a career high in assists with 17 for 19 points. With 151 hits and 58 shots blocked, Tor Tuck is finally onto the path on why he deserves to be on this list.  S43 was the first time Tuck had 30+ points in a season. Scoring 8 goals, 24 assists for 32 points.

S44 is truly the start of the Tor Tuck dominance in the SHL. Finally getting the #1 defenseman minutes for the time(24+ minutes). He exploited for 13 goals, 38 assists for 51 points. Earning his first 1st All Star Team, Aidan Richan Nomination for most improved, and his first Scott Stevens Win.

S45 saw him with another strong season. 6 goals, 34 assists for 40 points. He also helped lead Edmonton into the finals and won his first Challenge Cup. He also earned the 2nd All Star Team too. S46 saw a similar season as well. 8 goals, 33 assists for 41 points, getting him a 3rd All Star Team. S47 saw the first little dip in production. With 10 goals, 25 assists for 35 points, Tor Tuck actually won the Turd Ferguson Award for most PIMs in a season.

S48 saw similar stats that he steeled into. 7 goals, 31 assists for 38 points. With 138 hits and 49 shots blocked. This is the norm now for Tuck. S49 saw Tor hit 40 points again. With 7 goals and 36 assists for 43 points. WIth a career high in hits with 175, Tor Tuck won his 2nd Turd Ferguson. Not to mention his 2nd Challenge Cup with the Edmonton Blizzard. S50 will see him reach double digit goals again with 15. Only 26 assists for 41 points, he managed to get the 3rd All Star team this time around.

S51 will be Tor’s magnum opus in terms of achievements. He had 11 goals, but exploded with 49 assists for 60 points as a defenseman! 104 hits and 72 shots blocked as well. Off of this monster season, he won his 2nd Scott Stevens award, and was nominated for the Ron Mexico Award too. He earned his 2nd 1st All Star Team as well.

As if he sacrificed his soul to get that 60 point season, he never managed to get close to it again. S52 was the last season of STHS for him, as Tor Tuck got 6 goals and 24 assists for 30 points.

S53+ in FHM, Tor Tuck was a different player. Never cracking 30 points again. He p[layed 6 seasons in FHM. Scoring 24,26,25,16,19, and 28 points during that time. Never reaching the highs as STHS, Tor Tuck called it quits after S58.

With a career stats of 1082 GP, 135 goals, 516 assists for 651 points. When he retired he was ranked 8th in points by a defenseman. With an 8 season stretch of dominance during STHS, with 2 Stevens Wins, and a Ron Mexico Nomination, Tor Tuck deserves to be on this list. A lengthy career with a great stretch of being the best defenseman on one of the best teams in the league during that time. A x2 Cup Winner, with multiple All Star Teams, Tor Tuck had one of the best careers you could ask for as a defenseman
