(GRADED)Deep Dive #2: Colorado Raptors Season and Outlook

The Colorado Raptors were pushing hard to repeat their success last season and get a second four star cup in a row. A strong team during the regular season with a record of 39 wins 21 losses, and 6 overtime losses which brought them to fifth place in the regular season standings.

Compared to most of the other top teams, the Raptors had a relatively low goal differential which leads me to the strength of their defensive group. They will be losing some very strong players this offseason including Napoleon Dinklage, Shadow Fenix, and Leonard Wood. Two of which are forwards and one, Napoleon Dinklage, is a defenseman.

While this was a strong team, They had stronger competition. Losing to the fourth place Carolina Kraken in the playoffs which would have had even tougher teams passed them it sadly did not work out for the Colorado Raptors this season.

Luckily for the Raptors, this is another team that has a very strong management group and they already have a ton of players that are moving up in the ranks that will have them stronger than this season before they even know it. They have an outstanding 6 players from the season 77 draft class, five of which seem to be training at a high level which is going to be an absolute beast to be reckoned with once these players come of age. With all their own picks this season plus an extra 2nd rounder, anyone thinking the Colorado Raptors will be going away any time soon is being a very silly goose.

Some players I’m most excited to watch out for are:

Raw Cheese McPickle: The McPickles are obviously a well known family in the hockey world, and Raw Cheese is absolutely ready to carrey on this legacy. With an outstanding 16 goals and 32 assists for 48 points, Raw cheese is shaping up to be an offensive powerhouse for the Colorado Raptors and will undoubtedly be one of the teams top line members very soon.

Oranj Konhe: Honestly just excited to see if they finally bench this bum.

Cadamel Ixazaluoh: One of the two rookie defenseman on the team this season, Caramel is a strong all all around player with defensive tendencies. Exactly the type of person you want behind you as a forward, you know you can rely on him in both zones and that’s something thats a feeling that can never be understated. This man is an assist machine, with further training and playing a full season it will be super interesting to see how many assists this player can tally up next season.

Nathangus McExplosion. McExplodma Points this Season 66 winger is ready to explode all over the Juniors. McExplosion put up and absolutely insane 325 shots last season, 40 more then the next highest player in the league. It’s almost like this man was built to do hockey interviews cause he is ‘pucks to the net’ personified. Unleashing his true potential next season, this player is absolutely going to be one of the top producers in the entire league.

Good writeup. However, Konhe is moving up this season.
