Welcome back to another recap and another round of the playoffs, only 1 more round to go. The Challenge Cup winner will be crowned by next week, good luck to the teams in the finals!

Now onto the recap:

Western Conference Finals
pride San Francisco Pride (Pacific 1st) vs Texas Renegades (Central 1st) Renegades 

Game 1: 8-2 SFP  pride
San Francisco came out with a 3 goal first period and outshot the Renegades 48-26 overall. Levin Schattenaxt put up 3 assists for the Pride, while Toasty added a goal and 4 blocked shots for a great two way performance from the defender. A solid game from the defense core of the Pride, Toasty would have a goal, Shaw would have 1 goal and 1 assist, Nyckel would add 2 assists, Aittokallio would pick up an assist as well, and Zopf would grab a goal.
Game 2: 11-5 TEX  Renegades
Texas would bounce back in this one with a great offensive showing, tallying 5 goals in the first period and chasing Justin Time from the crease. Texas would score 6 more in this game, 3 in the second period and 3 in the third period. A 4 point night from James Dion and Patrice Bergeron would help Texas take this one, with the two of them helping contribute to 3 of the first period goals. A big game for Texas as they tie the series in a blowout win.
Game 3: 7-1 TEX  Renegades
Texas was great in this game, controlling the majority of the play throughout its entirety. The Renegades penalty kill was on fire in this match, allowing only 1 goal against on 6 shorthanded shifts. Texas outshot the Pride 37-31 and outhit them 26-12, getting on the scoresheet just 8 minutes into the first period. Texas would go up 6-0 before the first response by San Francisco in the third period, but at that point it was too little too late. A great game by Anthony Dionne as he allowed only 1 goal against on 31 shots, shutting down the Pride's offense. Hodor was good as always, blocking 5 shots and getting 1 takeaway to go with his goal.  A 2 goal and 3 point night from both Svoboda and McBride gives Texas their first series lead.
Game 4: 3-2 OTW TEX  Renegades
Texas was dominant in this one again, outshooting the Pride 38-20 while both teams stumbled on the power play with them combining to go 0/9 on the night. Texas would lead early in the third period off of Patrice Bergeron's second point of the night but Edzus Ozolins would force overtime with a goal with just over 3 minutes to play. It would take nearly all of overtime to settle this one, with Petr Svoboda ending the game with 2 minutes left in the first overtime period. Bergeron was instrumental in the win, tallying 1 goal and 2 assists, while Boots and Svoboda each picked up 1 goal and 1 assist. Pawter Meowski was great on the back end, laying 5 hits with 1 blocked shot and 2 takeaways.
Game 5: 3-2 OTW SFP  pride
The story of this game was special teams and Justin Time. Justin Time made 47 saves in this one and posted a .960 save percentage, stopping every even strength chance against. Texas would cash in an early powerplay goal 3 minutes into the first period, with San Francisco answering a minute into the second period to tie it. The game would stay tied until Texas would get another powerplay marker 7 minutes into the third period to make it 2-1. The lead would not last long though as the Pride would tie it up with their own powerplay goal 2 minutes later. It would go down to overtime in this one, where defender Sydney Shaw would bury a short handed goal to end this one and pull the series within 1 game. A solid game from the defense of San Francisco, with 4 of their defenders having a game rating of 95 or better.
Game 6: 5-4 TEX  Renegades
Texas had to battle back through adversity in this game in order to come back and win this game. They went up 1-0 in the second period, but over a span of 5 minutes and 9 seconds the San Francisco pride would tally 4 goals and make it a 4-1 game. Texas would go into the locker room only down by 2 though thanks to a McCarthy goal at 19:59 of the second period. The Renegades would build off that goal and mount a third period comeback, scoring at the halfway mark of the third period to pull within 1 goal. Lasse Zeigler would tie the game at 4-4 with a goal off a pass from McBride with 4:59 left to play in the third period. James Dion would complete the comeback for Texas with 1:50 left in the game making it 5-4. The Renegades would lock it down for the final 2 minutes and they take the series in 6 games. Hodor was phenomenal in this game, tallying 1 goal and 1 assist to go along with 3 blocked shots and 3 takeaways. Jack McCarthy was instrumental in the win as well, gathering 1 goal and 7 blocked shots to go with 2 takeaways from the defender. A great effort from the Renegades to make the comeback in this game allows them to take the series.

Result: 4-2 Texas Renegades 

Eastern Conference Finals
Forge Philadelphia Forge (Atlantic 1st) vs New England Wolfpack (North East 2nd) Wolfpack 

Game 1: 5-2 PHI  Forge
Philadelphia kicked the game off with the first goal just 2 minutes in and would have the Wolfpack trying to keep up for the majority of the game. BASE PACK was great in net for the Forge, turning aside 33 shots and having a .940 save percentage. Gnabe Dabson had 3 points in the win as well as 2 blocked shots, while Flusso, Lodbrok and Soprano had 2 points each as well. Red Kirkby and Johnny Shuffleboard each had 3 takeaways for an impressive defensive game by both.
Game 2: 5-4 OTW NEW  Wolfpack
The teams would exchange leads all throughout the game, starting off with each team scoring a shorthanded goal in the first 11 minutes of the first period. It would be 3-3 halfway through the third period before Marek Carda would make it a 4-3 Philly lead but Outdoor Truck would force overtime with 2:33 left in the third period. Seamus O'Slapahan was the hero in this extra period, slapping in a goal just 7 minutes into overtime to tie the series at 1-1. Olof Karsikko was unreal in this game, making an astounding 52 saves and posting a .930 save percentage and having faced 106 shots in the first 2 games alone. Lacksamus and Truck linked up for 2 points, helping out on the overtime winner and the late third period tying goal, while Thomas Sawschuk kept his team in the matchup with 2 first period goals.
Game 3: 6-3 NEW  Wolfpack
Philadelphia would go up 3-1 in the first period but the game would end up slipping away from them in the third period. Entering the third period down 3-2, New England would tie it up early before Kenny Omega would score the go ahead goal with 5 minutes remaining. Philly would pull the goalie and the Wolfpack would bury 2 empty net daggers in the final 32 seconds to make it a 6-3 win. Antoine Beauregard was amazing in this one picking up 4 points with only 1 coming on the empty net, while Ivan Lacksamus came in clutch with 3 points including the third period tying goal. Seamus O;Slapahan added 1 assist and a stunning 7 blocked shots, while Karsikko stood tall in net like he has all playoffs with a .920 save percentage and 34 saves.
Game 4: 5-2 NEW  Wolfpack
A strong game from New England saw them outshoot the Forge 44-35 and kill 3 penalties. New England would get on the board late into the third period and extend the lead to 4-2 in the second period, before Sawschuk would make it 5-2 with 1:32 left in the third period. Pork Tenderloin was dishing the puck from the point gathering 2 assists, 2 blocks and 1 takeaway, while Sean Davies had 1 assist and a crazy 8 blocked shots. A 2 goal game from Sawschuk would push the Wolfpack ahead to a dominant 3-1 series lead. Olof Karsikko has turned into a brick wall yet again, making 33 saves and having a .940 save percentage. This puts him 1st in playoff save percentage (.916), playoff saves(654 (241 more than second place)), and goals saved above average (19.78 GSAA(more than double second place)).
Game 5: 9-5 NEW  Wolfpack
A big first period for the Wolfpack would put them firmly in the lead 3-1 heading into the second period. The second period would see the floodgates open for both teams as they combined for 7 goals, New England would come out ahead 7-4 off a late second period goal by Bruno Tooyo to complete their hat trick. The third period would see the Wolfpack double the lead to 6-4 then 9-5 to end the series in 5 games. A huge game from Ivan Lacksamus and Lily Jin Morrow saw them both put up 4 points, but Bruno Tooyo was also on the top of his game with a hat trick. Seamus O'Slapahan and Troy McClure IIII were great on the back end for New England, with O'Slapahan blocking 4 shots with 1 goal and 1 assist. McClure IIII had 5 blocked shots and was shutting down his opponents.


Result: 4-1 New England Wolfpack
