With Being Drafted in the SHL and realizing I need to have a better bank its time to step up in this department
Please leave any feedback you have as I am new to this and want to get better at these Let’s take a look into the Canada Red WJC team Forwards Spaceman Spiff Spaceman has exploded this season in the juniors with the Highlanders with almost doubling is hit ppg from the previous season he’s a speedy sniper who rips down the wing with his speed he’s a shooter through and through he will captaining this younger team to Gold Easton Schaffer Teammate of Spaceman but has been more two players that his defence abilities have improved as he gets more experience the 4-year vet is going to have to lean into the two way play more for Canada Red but look to him to be on the ice for clutch situations because of his experience in the league. And rightfully so being names the first assistant captain Skyler Stevens The big winger on a struggling Tidal was a shining player one of the best two players in the league leading his team in blocks for forwards and leading his entire team in hits and leading their entire team in pk time showing that the GM puts his trust in Skyler. This is a player to look out for Nanashi Mumei The forward is more known for his defensive play then his offence the 6-foot 3 215 pound will be a pain the neck for the forwards on the opposing team Badger Hennessy My Battleborn was bright spot for sure for a tough year for the Battleborn (we are rebuilding) As the point total has decreased in the second year in the league this is in part of the Battleborn having a poor year Badger is one of the best in the league when it comes to the faceoff dot that is very important to have on a team in clutch situations and to get out of pinch Josie Cass Linemate of Leo Carlsson who in his first full season with the Tidal was great surprise for Tidal who put up 72 pts this season in the juniors and showed to be of the best players in the league when they have the man advantage, he will be one of the got options on the power play Jonny Fox The 6ft 7in centre will be manning the 4th line Canada Red being great on the face dot goes a long way in situations and is always needed for any team that is aiming to win the whole thing Geno Vajihollahi Another big centre showing that Canada Red is big building big down the middle with great players on the dot Geno is a first-year rookie who showed great progress throughout the year and is looking to be a key player for the Yukon for the future Christina Fantobens Yukon’s Star player Christina is a 2nd year player who has exploded in their 2nd year in the league. Christina leads all forwards on the Yukon in ice time showing the GM wants them on the ice as much as possible which is huge trust to put into the 2nd year player and Christina has showed that they can be trusted. Christiana is also one the best when it comes to the face off dot having won the third most in the league Scott Fortune The Winger for the Maine showed he’s one the most consistent players for the Maine that have a lot of great wingers on the team especially being a first-year player that doesn’t see much powerplay or penalty kill time because of the great forwards Maine already has they were still able carve out a spot on the team and hold their own once the May and Doug move upward Scott will be looked to fill those shows Zac Peters Another first year player Zac has shown that he is has great a feel for 5 on 5 play (didn’t get to see the power play or penalty kill) their ability to stay out of the box shows their hockey IQ on a team that has a lot of players that love the sin bin GrïmR3æpêr Another Battelborn teammate of my (great person btw) Grim was claimed halfway through the season on a struggling Battleborn team and played great with the limited time they had to showcase their skills Grim showed that they have the goal scoring ability with almost a 20% shooting percentage (small sample size but still) I expect Grim to do same damage at worlds Defenceman Bouch bomb Bouch is the vet on the d line with having 4 seasons of experience in the Juniors. Bouch will be the anchor for the defensive line and will be looked like the leader to guide the new players. As such they were named the 2nd assistant for Canada Red Jack Ellul Jake is more of a physical defenseman in how they play but, in a surprise, he led the Walleye defense in point he’s another first year player that had a great year and will be doing damage for years to come as the physicality of his play is still very present and the points are coming along Damante Gogi In his debut season with the Berserkers Damante was arguably Berserkers best defenseman making good plays all year and the lead the team in plus minus where he played heavy on the penalty kill and still led the team in plus minus Benjamin Theodore The line mate with Jack from the Walleye Benjamin has a very similar game to his line mate where they are physical defense men the points are adding up for the 1st year line mates great addition to have them together as they already have chemistry Arvinder Singh Its odd to write about myself but what I will say if having a stronger physical presence for the defense having offensive defenseman is a nice addition Carter St.Pierre Carter was the all-round defense man for the Kraken this year Kraken being one of the best teams in the league and showed how they constructed a team that is well rounded Carter will be looked to play heavy pk with Canada Red as he did with the Kraken Goalies Kris Kris has shown that he is one of the most consistent goalies in the league he did have a down year compared to last season but he is one more experienced goalies in the juniors he will be looking leading the crease for Canada Red Bishop Van Apeldoorn Had another great year although his workload has fallen this due to splitting their time in crease between Jeff from the Highlanders Bishop is still a great choice to make for Canada Red Overall Overall Canada Red has constructed a very young team with lots of first year players they have balanced that out with selecting Vets like Spaceman, Bouch and Easton has their captain and assistants it shows that they are Canada is looking good for the future They also built huge down the middle in the centre position they have selected great players in the dot The defensive line is built to be physical with a touch of offensive the wingers will be carrying the offensive for sure |
