SR: Thank you, I also got a Champions Ring for each of my front hoofs now. Look at them, they are shiny like me.
M: That was quite a cup run you and the Owls had there. The 2 OT banger games in the Kelowna sweep, then going down 0:2 against Anchorage and then absolutely obliterating them in the 3rd period of game 7. And in the end dropping a 3:1 series lead against Carolina. Before once again in the 3rd period of game 7 Dominic Enselmo scored the Cup winner and probably the best goal of the entire SMJHL season.
SR: That goal was just insane. After a pretty good shift of ours Levon and I went back to the bench for a line change and Dominic stayed back to fore check to secure the change. Surrounded by 5 Kraken players and with no help at all he take the puck away from them and immediately roofs it. That was when we had the Cup secure. That goal simply broke the spirit of every single Kraken player. Their will to win at all costs was completely gone after that one.
M: And that kind of goal from an Ex Vancouver Whalers player, who would have thought they were able of something like that.
SR: Oh Come on Marshi, stop trash talking my line mates, or i will start making fun of you, and you know how.
M: Alright, alright I am sorry. We're not here to recap the Playoffs anyway. We are here for the Draft. But i still wanted to point out that you did pretty well yourself Shiny. 18 Points in 23 Playoff Games and you lead all Forwards in Takeaways. That is pretty damn good.
SR: Thanks Marshi, I'm very happy with how i played overall. But now let's get to the Draft shall we?
M: Of course, just not the SHL draft as we had planned to do....
SR: Yeah... That was a bummer. We had had already prepared everything for a nice SHL Draft recap and how Manhattan has done in the draft and what i think about my new teammates....
M: And then Manhattan just trades away every single one of their pick like 100 years into the future. And that didn't even upgrade those...
SR: Oh yeah I'm still mad about the draft: For a S81 1st and three S81 2nd round picks we got: a S84 1st and 2nd plus a S83 and a S85 3rd round picks. Manhattan got absolutely robbed there.
M: I can see now how your team has the currently longest drought for a playoff series win with trades like that.
SR: It's not my team yet. I have not played a single game for the Rage yet, and I probably will not for 2 more seasons. Also if the the rumors are true, this isn't even the worst thing about Manhattan.
M: Rumors? What kind of Rumors? You need to tell everyone Shiny. This sounds exciting.
SR: Alright. Apparently the Manhattan Rage GM: @Citizen of Adraa is completely broke and because of that is trying to redirect some money for personal gain.
M: What? How?
SR: You remember how me and the other 2 S80 prospects only got a 2 Mil. $ contract? Manhattan was allowed to pay us up to 2.5 Mil. $ with the same effect on the salary cap. Just like that 3 times 500K gone. And nobody had asked any questions. Manhattan also currently has 3.5 Mil $ in Cap space and only needs to sign a number 6 D-Man fora single season. That kind of player usually costs no more than 3 Mil. That's another 500k gone from the budget. But like i said: Just rumors.
M: This is wild and doesn't sound like just a rumor to me. That's how I would do it. 500k here, 500k there. Nobody asks about those small amounts.
SR: Marshi.... That's why nobody would ever hire you for such a job. Let's get to the SMJHL draft instead. Can we?
M: You are telling me those kind of spicy stories and then want me to forget about it like a second after? You are cruel Shiny!
SR: Yes exactly like that. Let's talk about the SMJHL Draft. Because i want my 3rd Cup and Quebec has to replace at least 6 players on Sunday!
M: Damn, that sounds like a lot. And Quebec City doesn't have any extra picks. Just their own pick to finish off every round. Maybe if you find a Manhattan in the SMJHL You can turn your S85 3rd and 4th round picks into a 1st and 2nd in the draft.
SR: Wow... That was mean. But also fair. Nice one Marshi. But I have no idea how our GM in Quebec City is going to pull off any magic tricks, so let's just have a look at The Owls needs and the draft class:
M: OK first thing i noticed is the players who graduated had really long names, so you have to replace a lot of letters. So how about those:

Aartholomew Bittokallio Lorequavius and Bartholomew Aittokallio Lorequavius
They seem to be a great LW, RW combo. Instead chemistry and they are both very talented while Aartholomew seems to be focused more on Defense while Bartholomew has better offensive skills. And they replace a lot of letters.

SR: That's not going to happen Marshi. Both of them are ranked really high and Quebec doesn't pick until pick #16. How are we supposed to get both of them? But as silly as your replacing letters thing is. What about:

A centerman from Great Britain and the most letters in the entire draft. Plus i think there is a connection to now Ex-Owl Gordon McFisherman. So it might be a great fit on the team. Although i don't see the defensive skills to replace Gordon on that deadly PK unit with Kaptina. Definitely not the same type of player.

There are also a couple of players in this draft who, i don't know... i don't really know them or have met them in person or anything like this but they are not completely unfamiliar to me.
M: really? Who is it?
SR: I'm not going to reveal this right here ahead of the draft Marshi. We are in need of some serious late round steals. Let's just have a look at some more interesting players who will very likely not be picked in the top 15. OK?

That's very similar to what i would answer there. I like this player already.
SR: Honestly i think I've seen this name somewhere else before. But you'd probably try to go back to ancient Rome to become emperor yourself. Stop hallucinating Marshi.

M: Yeah you are probably right. Let me pick another one: What about Paul Missthenet? With that name and how you practiced deflections during the off season, it sounds like a great fit!
