Ok everyone, let’s all jump in the Doc Emmitt L. Brown DeLorean and head back to the SMJHL draft of S78. That season the Quebec City Citadelles ended up picking four players. Let’s have a look at each of them.
With their first pick of the draft, number twelve overall, the Quebec City Citadelles pick DeJana Kaptina… DeJana Kaptina is a five foot ten inch one hundred eighty five pound Center who came to QCC by way of Switzerland. She was named an alternate captain for S81. So far this season in eighteen games, she has nine goals and five assists which is good for fourteen points. She was selected by the Buffalo Stampede with their first round pick, number thirteen overall in the subsequent SHL draft. With their second pick of the draft, number twenty five overall, the Quebec City Citadelles pick Duke Howard. Duke Howard is a six foot four inch two hundred twenty seven pound Center who came to QCC by way of Michigan. So far this season Duke has eleven goals and eight assists which is good for nineteen points and a tie for the team lead in points. Duke was selected by the Edmonton Blizzard with their second round pick, number twenty two overall in the subsequent SHL draft. With their third round pick, number forty one overall, the Quebec City Citadelles pick QCCBot4. QCCBot4 is five foot nine inch one hundred seventy five pound goalie who came to QCC by way of Norway. QCCBot4 is the backup goalie and has a record of zero wins and three losses with a goals against average of 4.38 and a save percentage of .881 in three games so far this season. QCCBot4 was selected by the Edmonton Blizzard with their second round pick, number twenty three overall in the subsequent SHL draft. With their fourth round pick, number fifty seven overall, the Quebec City Citadelles pick Ela Solberg. Ela Solberg is a five foot six inch one hundred fifty pound goalie who came to QCC by way of Norway. Apparently Darren Pang has found a new home in the SHL haha. Anyway, back to Ela. She has a record of eleven wins and four losses with a goals against average of 3.15 and a save percentage of.914 in fifteen games so far this season. Ela Solberg was selected by the Minnesota Monarchs with their third round pick, number fourty eighth overall in the subsequent SHL draft. ***Trade Alert*** Sometime during the draft, after their fourth and final pick, the Quebec City Citadelles made a trade with the Vancouver Whalers in which the team received Dominic Enselmo and Levon Dojkic in exchange for the Citadelles first round pick, number sixteen overall, a second round pick, number thirty two overall and two third round picks, number fourty two and fourth eight overall in the S80 draft. Let’s take a look at the two players that Quebec City received in the trade. Dominic Enselmo is a five foot eleven inch one hundred ninety seven pound left wing who came to Quebec City Citadelles by way of Italy. So far this season Dominic has four goals and nine assists which is good for thirteen points. Dominic was selected by the Hamilton Steelhawks with their third round pick, number fourty three overall in the subsequent SHL draft. Levon Dojkic is a six foot three inch two hundred twenty pound left wing who came to Quebec City by way of Slovakia. So far this season Levon has five goals and thirteen assists which is good for eighteen points. Levon was selected by the New Orleans Specters with their third round pick, number fifty seven overall in the subsequent SHL draft. The Quebec City Citadelles also made a waiver claim that season, Aslak Hestnes. Aslak Hestnes is a six foot four inch two hundred twenty pound right defenseman who came to Quebec City by way of Norway. So far this season Aslak has two goals and leads the team with fourteen assists which is good for sixteen points. Aslak was selected by the Calgary Dragons with their second round pick, number twenty four overall in the subsequent SHL draft. So, in conclusion, these seven players are the core of the team and they will be missed after they join their respective SHL teams. ![]() SHL GM Professor of Baldeconomics
