I wanted to take a more indepth look at 4 of Battle borns new rookies. I wanted to see their impact on the team in different aspects from LR activity to on ice production. These four players are Harland Saunders, Oskar Svenguard, Orr 2.0 and yours truly(Hunter Cross). As some of the newest players we had to find out fit into what the team needed we all had ideas of what we wanted our player to be and we tried to combine that with what the team needed. Saunders becoming an insane dangler whos got a wicked wrister as shown by the fact that he had the most goals by a rookie on our team. Svenguard, a right handed defense who was willing to put their body on the line as shown by their 154 blocked shots and 82 hits. He scored a DGR of 70 on the season not to bad for a newbie. Orr 2.0 another right handed defensemen was outstanding this season. His shut down defense was what held us in most games playing almost 21 minutes on average per game he was a nightmare to get around for other teams. Lastly is Cross, I like to think Cross made his impact by playbooking the ice. Finding was to get the puck to his best line mate Harland Saunders. This is evident by the 29 assists he had this season. Lets talk about the players in the locker room, Harland and Orr are some of the best people to shoot the shit with. They are willing to talk about anything, Oskar and myself are a little bit more reserved I very much enjoy reading the chat and chime in when I can! Lastly I wanted to talk about how far the players have come when it concerns TPE. Of the rookies we four have earned the most and it is one of the main reason I choose to do my deep dive on them. I think it shows a level of dedication to the league. Lets start with the all star Saunders. He finished the season with a wopping 295 TPE earned! Right behind him was Orr with 291 one then Svengaurd at 278 and lastly myself with 277. I think its really important to know that the Nevada battleborn gave up a number of players to start their rebuild. They were able to get a number of picks in this last draft. We are some of those picks so I think for the organization to have this many players ready and commited to next season is great! It will give us a realyl good chance at having a winning season next year maybe even a chance to compete in the playoffs! Especially since I didn't even mention some of the other players who are doing well but this article would be 10 pages long if I included every rookie on the team! These four playesr will continue to grow and improve if they keep up the hard work and dedication. I think we will more than likely see some scouts itching to talk to them in the coming weeks for the SHL!
