Steelhawks Front Office Announcement




Like I said last week, the franchise of the Hamilton Steelhawks have to make some changes in the front office.

I stepped down as GM a week ago.
Now our Co-GM Phil also stepped down, because he is lost his major interest in the SHL for various reasons. He will still be around with his player Matthew Ekblad, but he won´t be as active as he was before. Nonetheless I have to thank Phil in name of the Steelhawks for his great work for the whole organisation. He was a big help when the team was falling apart two seasons ago and could win the cup right after that. I also want to thank him on a personal level, as he always was a good friend and I am sure he will still be. Was really fun to work with him these two seasons.






So over the last week we discussed our Front Office Situatin a lot in the locker room, over PMs and in chatzys and every member was able to say his opinion. The guys with Front Office experience didn´t wanted to do this job right now. So after a long chatzy session with Phil yesterday, and 100% backup from my team we decided to go this way.

Yea I stepped down, but looks like I am too addicted to this league and can´t just leave Nearly every player asked me to say for the best of the Steelhawks, so I finally decided to resign for at least another season as GM.
More than that I am really excited to work with Schultz in the Steelhawks Front Office, he is a dedicated member and his well respected. I can say that he is one of my favorite members in the SHL.
Some more Steelhawks related announcement are going to come in the next weeks, so we are both facing a hard job. I am pretty sure Schultz will be money for the Steelhawks as CO-GM and with some Front Office experience he should be able to take my job some day

So thank you Schultzy for stepping up and of course thank you to all Steelhawks players for the trust in us.
