Dahlquist who has declared for the NWJHL draft said that his number 1 team of choice is the Montreal Impact because he was a big fan of the team and of its rich history and he'd like to bring the 4 star cup to the city for the first time.

Markus Dahlquist, captain of the Verona Honeybadgers of the EEL, is a shutdown defenseman with an offensive upside that he has yet to breakout on. He will be coming into the juniors with one pro season experience under the belt, including making the finals where his team currently is up 2-1 in the series.

This is what Dahlquist delivered to the media:

"This is about what I want, I can't be a good guy in this situation and when we're talking about my interest level in the league. I can pack my bags if I want at this point and go back to Europe. The only team that interests me is the Montreal Impact and I hope to only be drafted by that team, so this is basically also saying fuckyou to all the other teams."

Dahlquist walked off with his final words being "GO IMPACT !!!"
