"Sam Slade Talks to Media before NWJHL Draft"

As the pressure and excitement builds for the draft, Sam Slade has decided to join us one last time to answer some last minute questions before donning the jersey of the team he plans to take to the 4 star cup finals.

Interview : Are you excited that the big day is only two days away?

:ahh!: : Of course I am!! This is what i have been waiting patiently 6 weeks for!! I can't wait to be drafted, but just as much to start working on getting the team that picks me to the 4 star cup finals.

Interview : In recent polls it shows that you will go somewhere between 4th and 6th in the draft, how does that make you feel?

Yay : It's awesome because it means teams are focusing on you to be the key cog in the teams drive for the cup. They know i can produce on the ice and in the locker room and I am extremely active in improving myself all year long.

Interview : It seems that you only trail some players with SHL heritage in the draft standings, how does that make you feel?

Exercise : It feels good to know that I am the top rated NWJHL prospect without SHL heritage, I mean friggin awesome, because it shows how highly regarded I am. It's an incredible feeling really.

Interview Since you have no SHL affliation, have you looked beyond this year?

Cheers : No, but I will be keeping a close eye on the SHL team that is affiliated with the NWJHL club that drafts me as I am sure they will be keeping an eye on me as well. I am a loyal guy so if my NWJHL GM recomments a team, I will definately check them out.

Interview Any idea's who you want to play with, as there are some big EEL names and other NWJHL prospects that could also play on the same team as you?

Towel : I have no control over who is drafted, that's what the GM's do, but once our team is there, I will do my best to create that positive winning attitude that is contagious and hopefully we can keep it rolling all year and into the playoffs.

Interview Rumor has it you recently got an endorsement and now have over 1 Million dollars in your bank account, what can you tell us about that?

Yeahthat : Ya, i am promoting some new gear that is lighter, but also more protective. That comes from hard work in the off season and promoting yourself, it can only help me once i reach the SHL, but i plan on increasing that to 4 million or more by the end of the year. That just shows you how dedicated I plan on being this year.

Interview Well good luck in the draft and during the season

 Thanks!

Great article as per usual

“The Wheel of Time turns, and Ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth comes again. ... There are neither beginnings nor endings to the Wheel of Time. But it was a beginning.”
