Hello everybody, and thank you for meeting me on such short notice. I would like to announce the captains for Team USA in this years IHF games. This was a very hard choice because everyone has the ability to lead this team, and could all make great C's or A's. I believe this team is the best in the IHF group, and we are going to win the gold medal. Leading this team will be Kyle Keenan. I believe Keenan will be a great Captain for Team USA, and I am very happy to see him wear the C. Kyle Keenan is a vocal member of the locker room, and an all around great leader. I have no doubts in him.
Joining Keenan as team leaders will be Zach Dooley as well as Jason Due. Between Dooley and Due, we gain 2 leaders with multiple IHF experience. Zach Dooley is a great member of the team, and this will be his last time to participate. I believe after a career as good as Dooley's, he should go out on top. I picked Jason Due because he is an amazing player, and arguably the best defenseman in the game. Due brings lots of skill and leadership to the team. I believe between Keenan, Due, and Dooley we are destined for greatness. What better players to have represent Team USA.
This was a very hard decision for me to make. I could have picked any member on the team to lead it, and we would have still had success. Some of the honorable mentions that I had high on my list are Chris Partlow, Jordan Nugent-Hall, and Roman Schultz.
What gave Kyle Keenan the edge to be named captain?
"Kyle is an active leader in the locker room, he is a very skilled athlete, and composes himself in a orderly manor at all times. Keenan will be a great captain, and I believe he is the best choice to lead this team to a gold medal."
What about Due and Dooley?
"Well, I spent a large amount of my career with Jason Due. He was an outstanding leader on and off the ice. Due is a very respected member, and he helped lead our team year in and year out. I believe he will be an amazing assistant captain. I picked Dooley for the reason I stated earlier. Dooley has had an outstanding career, and I believe this is a great way to send him off.
