Toast
Earlier this off-season I decided that it was time to rebuild, ending an era in Minnesota that will go down in history. A team that entered the league as an expansion winning two championships while being one of the most dominate teams in recent memory.
With this change in an era, one of the most crucial stars in this era has decided to call it a career. That player is Jon Doran. With his retirement, Doran decided it would be best to not play his final season in the SHL, making sure that his stats aren’t damaged by what will possibly go down as the worst season with the franchise.
Doran closes out his Minnesota career playing in 503 games, scoring 10 goals and 98 points through those 503 games. While not one of the brightest stars on the ice, he was however the biggest leader in the Minnesota locker room throughout his career, and that is why the Minnesota organization has decided that they will be retiring Doran’s number 44.
We thank Doran for his seasons of loyalty with the Minnesota franchise and wish him the best in his future endeavours. The Minnesota fan base thanks you!
