Gone for a conditional fourth rounder to Calgary. Thoughts?

Minor league depth that could be a 4th line c for a late pick not objecting to it

He was terrible In pre season.

It's fine - we knew he'd have to go through waivers and Calgary would have claimed him there most likely... getting a potential something is better than getting fuck all.

If the waivers is true his stay in CGY will either be in the press box or claimed by another team despite our youth movement he didn't look NHL ready yet and we have better young guys

I think the condition is if he plays in the NHL this year a certain amount of games not 100% sure tho

Becomes 3rd if he gets 10 G or 35 P this season and Flames make playoffs.

Pretty much haha.

Flames win this deal easy. Colborne is going to be a decent 3C IMO.

correct... using capgeek and the roster they have with Colborne traded we will have $383,333 in cap space

that is without Morgan Reilly in the mix. If he is in the mix we are above by approximately 511,000

Yes. We are also putting Liles on waivers tomorrow I heard. So we also lose a little more cap when he plays in the minors (doubt anyone claims him).

Just cause he doesn't fit Carlyle's system and our defence doesn't mean he isn't valuable. They might be asking JML for a list of teams to be traded to to see if they can work something out before waivers... even if it is for a mid-round pick/prospect.

Weird.... Liles had the "A" last night in the game against Detroit. I honestly dont know if he will be sent down

if he does get sent down and clears than we free up to 950K I think. So 1.3M in cap space, which is fine.
