We are here today with SMJHL draft prospect Walter "Heisenberg" White. Heisenberg, out of Albuquerque, New Mexico, is not your normal prospect. Growing up in such a warm climate, Heisenberg never had the opportunities that others prospects had. There were no frozen ponds to skate on. No local rinks. Instead, Heisenberg spent his time watching and studying the game of hockey. Although no actual experience on the ice, he became a master of the game. Heisenberg was fascinated with the team chemistry and skill set of the hockey players, and wanted to become the best player there was.

Thanks for taking the time to talk with us tonight, Walter. How are you feeling after the combine and the junior showcase games?

Heisenberg: "Please, call me Heisenberg. And I really am feeling good about how the combine went. I really enjoyed talking with each team, every interview was great. The junior showcase games went really well too. I got to know some of the other juniors and it was great playing alongside them. I know that I don't have the most experience, but hopefully the GM's saw what I can bring to the table for their respective teams."


Heisenberg hopes to wear his hat as a helmet during games. Rules committee still reviewing this.

Okay, Heisenberg. And what are your expectations for the draft? Any teams you prefer to be drafted by?

H: "Expectations? Hmmm...well I expect to get drafted. Not really sure from there. You must remember, I do not have a lot of experience with the sport. I am not sure what scouts and GM's are looking for when drafting players, exactly. There is a lot of talent among the junior class this year, and I have no idea in hell when I will get drafted. And as far as the teams go, I will play wherever. I have but one request. I need a partner who knows the game of hockey. The physical, skating style of knowledge that I lack in. I am the brains behind the game, and I know that if I find the right teammate to play alongside me, we will be unstoppable."
