Brandon Blazers(14-4-2)
Key Stat: 2-0 in Shootouts and 2-0 in OT
After 4-
The Superstar- Chernika Banananov(1)[Tie with Bubba Nuck, Jigsaw Mcgraw, and Stacker Pentecost]
The Playmaker- Chernika Banananov(3)
The Complete Player- Zach Morgan(+3)
The Goon- Danny Sexbang(6)
The Wall Before the Wall- Stacker Pentecost(10)
The Iron Man- Stacker Pentecost(108)
The Wall- Mark Harter (86%)

5th round draft pick Chernika Banananov is looking good out there. Tied for most goals and leading the pack with 3 points in 4 games. A solid pick up off a trade, Zach Morgan is on the ice at the right time. First round draft pick Stack Pentecost is using his huge frame to get in the way of shots and is tied for most blocks in the tournament but other than that there hasn't been too much production from the high draft picks. Bubba Nuck is no where seen on the stat sheet and Harter is putting up a tournment worst 86 save percentage.

After 8-
The Superstar- Jigsaw Mcgraw(5)
The Playmaker- Zach Morgan(8)
The Complete Player- Stacker Pentecost(+5)
The Goon- Danny Sexbang(8)
The Wall Before the Wall- Stacker Pentecost(20)
The Iron Man- Stacker Pentecost(246)
The Wall- Mark Harter(86%)

Zach Morgan(Also known as Mr. Irrelevant from his very late draft pick and acquired through a trade by Blazers GM Mook) is really showing his worth out there. He leads the team averaging a point a game.... Seriously a point per game! He is quickly turning heads and maybe leaving some hanging with each GM having multiple chances to pick him up and even being traded.

After 15-
The Superstar: Jigsaw Mcgraw(6)
The Playmaker: Jordan Uptuck(13)[tied with Stacker Pentecost]
The complete Player: Bubba Nuck(+4)[tied with stacker Pentecost]
The Goon: Zach Morgan(13)
The wall before the wall: Stacker Pentecost(34)
The Iron man: Stacker Pentecost(401)
The Wall: Anton Rigor Jr.(87%)

After the shaky start, the Blazers have really hit their stride. Much can be attributed to the sly dealings of GM Mook. After their 2-2 start, they have gone 7-2 in the last 12 games after some shifting around of the lines. Bubba Nuck's hard work has finally payed off on the stat sheet. It is not suprising that he leads the "Complete Player" category as he is a very solid, well rounded player. Pentecost is looking like the number 1 pick overall after a shaky start he is slowly creeping into the point categories. The most impressive achievement though, is the 401 minutes he has been on the ice. That is 20 periods! The biggest question mark is where is 3rd round pick Mark Harter? Since the line switch he literally has not seen the ice.

After 20-
The Superstar: Jigsaw Mcgraw(9)
The Playmaker: Stacker Pentecost(20)
The Complete Player: Bubba Nuck(+10)
The Goon: Zach Morgan(15)[Tied with Pentecost, Mcgraw)
The Wall Before the Wall: Stacker Pentecost(50)
The Iron Man: Stacker Pentecost(543)
The Wall. Mark Harter(88%)

What an Explosion of offense! The Blazers go on ANOTHER streak of 5 games without a loss. The Blazers offense is clicking like it never has before. The puck is being moving smartly and with precision. Pentecost is in midseason form leading the team in total points as well as major defensive categories. You can see why he went first overall. The production he is having in the offensive and defensive by the plus/minus of his teammates. There is only one player on the Blazers with a negative plus/minus. This is an all around team effort. Mark Harter was back in the pipes after an 8 game benching and is flourishing with his new linemates. He has increased his save percentage by 2 percent and looks to be the favored goalie as he is also 11 for 11 on penalty/shoot out stops.

Anaheim Outlaws (7-10-3)
After 4-
The Superstar- Pierre-Luc Laflamme(2)[Tie with Conn Thompson]
The Playmaker- Drew Myers (6)
The Complete Player- Drew Myers(+2)
The Goon- Danny Phantom(10)
The Wall Before the Wall- Danny Phantom(10)
The Iron Man- Drew Myers(103) [Tie with Danny Phantom]
The Wall- Valdemorts Karlensons (91%)

Second overall choice Conn Thompson ties with 15th overall Pierre-Luc Laflamme for most goals which is always nice seeing production from your top prospects. 10th overall choice Drew Myers is at a ridiculous pace with 6 points in his first 4 games and a legitimate threat. You'd think with all these star players up front that thehy would have had to sacrifice talent in the crease right? Wrong! Karlensons has a 91% save rate and has posted the first shutout of the year! They may have really found a gem with this guy. This may be the most productive and talented team of the tournament.

After 8-
The Superstar-Pierre-Luc Laflamme(6)
The Playmaker- Conn Thompson(10)[Tie with Laflamme]
The Complete Player- Laflamme(+3)
The Goon- Jack Sin(20)
The Wall Before the Wall- Danny Phantom(26)
The Iron Man- Danny Phantom(208)
The Wall- Valdemorts Karlsensons(90%)

Pierre-Luc Laflamme is really impressing. You can watch his stock rise and expect it to continue up until the draft. He now stands alone as the leading scorer and is tied for most points AND has the best plus/minus of the team. He has completely taken over this team offensively. Myers has dropped off the flashy score sheet but he is a solid defense and will need to continue to help Karlsensons as the only goalie in the tournament left with a save percentage over 90.

After 15-
The Superstar: Pierre-Luc Laflamme(8)
The Playmaker: Conn Thompson(16)
The complete Player: Pierre-Luc Laflamme(+6)
The Goon: Danny Phantom(22)
The wall before the wall: Danny Phantom(38)
The Iron man: Danny Phantom (380)
The Wall: Valdemorts Karlsensons(91%)

Well not much has changed here, has it? Explosive duo Conn Thompson and Pierre-Luc Laflamme are running a two man show out there. Together they have 15 goals and 16 assists. This could be a pair that could rival Pavel Datsyuk and Henrik Zetterberg! They seem to have so much chemistry built up after such little time together. If a team can pick these two up, it would have an instantly producing line. Karlsensons has had an oustanding outing boasting a 91'% save rate. He really rounds this team out and makes it a favorite for a deep playoff run.

After 20-
The Superstar: Pierre-Luc Laflame(9)
The Playmaker: Drew Myers(19)[Tied with Conn Thompson]
The Complete Player: Pierre-Luc Laflamme(+5)
The Goon: Danny Phantom(26)
The Wall Before the Wall: Danny Phantom(48)
The Iron Man: Drew Myers(501)
The Wall. Voldemorts Karlsensons(88%)

The duo of Thompson and Laflame have been tamed the last few games. They have had plenty of opportunities but sometimes the puck just doesn't roll your way. Look out for these guys in the playoffs, they will still need to be the focal point of the opposing defenses. Drew Myers is really jumping in on offense and moving the puck well and it shows with his amazing 19 assists. The play starts with him and it usually ends in the back of the net. The biggest show here is the drop off of Karlsensons from a 91% just 5 to an 88%. Perhaps with Myers leaning more towards offense, he is opening holes in the defense? This will be something to watch come playoffs.

Chicago Hitmen (8-10-2)
After 4-
The Superstar- Thomas Anderson(4)
The Playmaker- Brandon Pomery(8)
The Complete Player- Brandon Pomery(+5)
The Goon- Mariusz Kwik(6)[Tie with Thomas Anderson]
The Wall Before the Wall- Mariusz Kwik(8)
The Iron Man-Mariusz Kwik(127)
The Wall- Noah Jackson(89%)

I said it before the tournment even started... Brandon Pomery is an offensive powerhouse. He has 8 points in the first 4 games. Its an unkeepable pace but still impressive. He is an offensive defensemen with the skill set of a forward. This may be a double edged sword though as their record doesn't look like a record a skater averaging 2 points a game has. This is a team who seems to have their players in the right spot. Their offense just needs to compete with their subpar defense.

After 8-
The Superstar- Thomas Anderson(5)
The Playmaker- Brandon Pomery(12)
The Complete Player- Brandon Pomery(+3)
The Goon- Mariusz Kwik(29)
The Wall Before the Wall- Brandon Pomery(14)
The Iron Man- Maruisz Kwik(251)
The Wall- Noah Jackson(89%)

As expected Pomerys average has lowered(from 2 per game to 1.5 which is still crazy impressive) and his plus/minus is reflecting his gutsy play by being 2 less after 4 more games. He has improved his defensive play by taking over the shots blocked category. He will need to continue to bolster that category if they hope to start winning some games.

After 15-
The Superstar: Thomas Anderson(5)
The Playmaker: Brandon Pomery(15)
The complete Player: Truck Stoker(+3)
The Goon: Maruisz Kwik(42)
The wall before the wall: Brandon Pomery(19)
The Iron man: Mariusz Kwik (371)
The Wall: Noah Jackson(89%)

After 20-
The Superstar: Truck Stoker(5)[Tied with Thomas Anderson]
The Playmaker: Brandon Pomery(18)
The Complete Player: Steve Linkos(0)[Tied with Truck Stoker]
The Goon: Mariusz Kwik(52)
The Wall Before the Wall: Mariusz Kwik (28)
The Iron Man:Mariusz Kwik(502)
The Wall. Noah Jackson(86%)

With a mix of the lowest goal scoring group of prospects and the highest penalized team in the tournment, there is much work to be done before the tournment playoffs. The highest plus/minus a player has on the team is 0. That is not how you win games. Their 8-10 record is actually fairly impressive with a stat like that. Noah Jackson's save percentage has noticeably deteriorated. Its going to take a very determind team to make it just to the finals let alone win the whole thing.

Snobhill Posers (11-8-1)

After 8-
The Superstar- Pavel Bursyuk(5)
The Playmaker- Pavel Bursyuk(10)
The Complete Player- Felix Steinsteiger(+7)
The Goon- Moosejaw Broudreau(14)[Tied with Steinsteiger]
The Wall Before the Wall- Rembrandt Q. Einstein(12)
The Iron Man- Felix Steinsteiger(221)
The Wall- Adam Demko(88%)

The Snobhill is a very complete team. There isn't too much that truly stands out about them but they get the job done bolstering a 6-3 record, they prove you don't need a super star stand out to be successful. Their lead offensive player, Pavel Bursyuk, shows great maturity with the puck and seems to always make the right move. Steinsteiger is proving to be a force on the ice. When hes on the ice you can tell the pressure is lifted off the goalie and he can make the right plays to keep the puck away from his own goalie who ranks 3rd out of 4 in save percentage.

After 15-
The Superstar: Pavel Bursyuk(10)
The Playmaker: Pavel Bursyuk(17)
The Complete Player: Pavel Bursyuk(+4)
The Goon:Felix Steinsteiger(22)
The Wall Before the Wall: Mike Abell(25)
The Iron Man: Felix Steinsteiger(367)
The Wall: Adam Demko(88%)

Pavel Bursyuk continues to impress as he spear heads the offense and commands the attention of the opposing team at all times. Even with the extra attention, he is still finding his way to the scoring zones and his teammates are finding creative ways to get the puck to him. Steinsteiger leads the defensive unit and rarely leaves the ice. He is a consistent defensemen who is only boosting his draft stock. Demko is also holding strong with a respectable 88 save percentage and really completes this team. They will need him to continuously make big saves to finish up this tournment on a good note.

After 20-
The Superstar: Pavel Bursyuk(11)
The Playmaker: Pavel Bursyuk(23)
The Complete Player: Pavel Bursyuk(+6)
The Goon: Moosejaw Broudreau(34)
The Wall Before the Wall: Felix Steinsteiger(32)
The Iron Man: Felix Steinsteriger(491)
The Wall. Adam Demko(89%)

Whose on the Snobhills? Well lets see. We have Pavel Bursyuk and Steinsteiger.... Then some other guys. The other prospects are enjoying respectable stat lines but they are being completely eclipsed by Bursyuk. The top goal scorer in the tournament AND the highest save percentage goalie is a dangerous combo. Expect them to face off with the Blazers in the Finals. If the Snobhills expect to win they will need production from the other players because the Blazers superior defense will blanket the tournments leading goal scorer and if nobody else can help, they will suffocate

Prospect Tournment Playoffs

Brandon Blazers(4) vs Anaheim Outlaws(2)
3 stars:
1- Jigsaw Mcgraw (2 goals, +3)
2- Jordan Uptuck (2 assists, +2)
3- Mark Harter (24 for 26 saves 92%)

Key stat: Blazers 6 for 7 on PK (86%)

Game notes: It was a close one as the Blazers consistently shot themselves in the foot every chance they got. They racked up an impressive 7 penalties and routinely leaned on their penalty killers to keep the game within reach, which they did. You have to imagine what the score would have been if they hadn't spent a quarter of the game a man down. Anaheim put in a good ever though having all of their offense generated by their D men but the Pentecost lead defense smothered the forwards and really only gave the Outlaws point shots. The Blazers can't expect to win the tournment with the undisciplined approach they had against Anaheim.

Chicago Hitmen(4) vs Snobhill Posers(7)
3 stars:
1- Nils Wahlstrom(2 goals, +1)
2- Pavel Bursyuk(3 assists, +1)
3- Mike Abell(1 goal, 1 assist)

Key stat: Posers went 3 for 8 for 38%

Game notes: This had the exact offensive output that you would expect with some of the tournments top offensive weapons. In the first period alone there was a combined 7 goals with Chicago leading until the 3rd. All 3 of the Posers power play goals came in the third period where Chicago committed 4 of their 8 penalties. They learned very quickly that in an offensive shootout the worst thing you could possibly do is take a penalty. Leading by 1 going into the 3rd, they allowed the Posers to score 4 unanswered and let the game slip away.

Brandon Blazers (2) vs Snobhill Posers (3)
3 Stars:
1- Pavel Bursyuk(1 goal, 1 assist)
2 - Jigsaw Mcgraw(1 goal)
3- Moosejaw Broudreau (1 goal, +1)

Key stat: Adam Demko 29 for 31 saves (94%)

Game Notes: This was exactly what you expected when the top defense went against the top offense. Even with the extra attention Pavel Bursyuk received, he still found holes for a 1 goal and 1 assist performance to assert his dominance as one of the top scoring rookies this season. It was a very tight game and one you'd hope for in a finals match up. The penalties were kept to a minimum as the Blazers lowered their penalty count from the 8 they had in their first game to 3 while Snobhill were the common offenders with 5 which the Blazers pair of goals came from while they kills all of theirs.

The real headline here may be the emergence of Adam Demko. He was involved in a shoot out in the first round stopping 29 for 33 against a much greater offensive team and puts up 29 for 31 in this one. He could be an emerging star and somebody to really watch as the season continues.

Congratulations to the Snobhill Posers and good luck to all the emerging rookies. I look forward to comparing myself to all of you as we grow throughout the season and head into the SHL draft!

As far as I can see we are still only at 15 GP am I wrong or am I misunderstanding something.

No doubt about it Pierre-Luc Laflamme stock is on the rise hes been a beast racking up the points.

And I know Bubba has been slow but hes been solid, hes a + only 2 PIM leading in face offs taken and in the top face off % with just shy of 60%. I am not a dazzler but I am doing what I thought and thats playing responsible hockey.

thats why I hope we're on the same team. Win the faceoffs, play smart D, shut down other guys.

Should build Bubba into a Martan Hanzal/Samual Pahlsson kind of guy.
