Jakobsen as a kid playing hockey for a team near Laholm</div>

Magnus Jakobsen was born and raised in the mid-sized hockey city of Laholm, Sweden in 1994. His mother and father were hard workers, but were unable to make enough money due to the recent economy collapse of the Swedish Markets and money value. He never had the new, fancy clothes, the gameboy or the top of the line brand name sneakers. He lived in an old beat up house that had boards over the windows, shingles missing and a sign that said "Beware of Dog" when they never really owned a dog. They were too poor and couldn't afford it's food. In fact, his parents struggled to put food on the table for themselves most nights, sacrificing their food so that their children could eat, resulting in periods up to a week without eating.

One day Magnus and his father were walking down the street of Laholm when a man approached them on the streets and asked if they wanted to buy some tickets for the SHL Tickets Draw. He stated they were 5 for 3 dollars and 10 for 5, however, Magnus's dad replied he had 0 dollars for 0. His dad pulled the man aside and explained his families situation and the man's facial expression had become sad. The man then took his father aside for a short while and then abruptly supported Jakobsen's father as he collapsed into the strangers arms and began to sob. His father ran over to Magnus and told him about the man and took young Magnus over to shake his hand and say thank you for the nice old man had just given the boy a gift.

Magnus and his father attend a game in Minnesota (flew by plane from Sweden)</div>

That night young Magnus Jakobsen and his father went to the Minnesota Chiefs Vs Hamilton Steelhawks game where Magnus was blown away by a performance by elite veteran, now retired superstar and legend Christoph Klose. Klose put up a goal and an assist and was awarded the 2nd star of the game, however, it's what he did after the game that really won Magnus's heart over. One thing the man forgot to tell Magnus and his father were that the tickets also had an agreement on them that allowed them to "meet and greet" with the players in their locker room. When the Arena staff brought this to his fathers attention with 5 minutes remaining in the third, Magnus didn't care that his hockey hero Christoph Klose's team was down 5-3 and about to likely lose because he was minutes away from meeting his all-time hero.

The clock struck zero and the players made their way towards the dressing room. The doors swung opened and right way came Captain Klose, hustling straight toward a young, beaming Magnus Jakobsen. The Sponsors of the tickets only allowed the family to speak to the Chiefs and be in the Locker Room for 10 minutes, however, Jakobsen spent the full time in conversation with Klose. That night Magnus Jakobsen went to bed but before he did he wrote a letter to Santa and on that list? A Christoph Klose Jersey. Sure enough when Magnus rose from his bed early Christmas morning to open up his gifts, he found his jersey.

"Magnus didn't take the jersey off for 3 whole weeks. We swear we had to bribe him to take it off. If there was one thing that could light up that boys eyes and smile, it was Christoph Klose or hockey. In a world that was so cruel to such an amazing, undeserving little boy, he somehow still found a reason to smile. It was at this point in time that Magnus's passion for hockey truly began. You know what? I want to thank Mr. Klose while I am live on TV and got the chance. Mr. Klose? That day you met my boy was the first time I had seen him smile in over a year. Thank you for helping my boy find that again and changing his life!"

Jakobsen found late career dominance in the Swedish Elite League (SEL)</div>

Jakobsen went home from North America's game inspired, touched and with a whole lot of passion and ambition, something he was once lacking. By the age of 15, Magnus displayed a level of dominance in skating, puckhandling and shooting and was selected 13th overall by the Laholm Bluefins in Swedens highest rated league, the Swedish Elite League. With the Bluefins, Jakobsen struggled to find his footing during his first season of semi-professional play. However, the team praised him at the end of the season presser stating that he has seen Jakobsen's strong work ethics at the gym and at practices and knows the type of player that Magnus would become.

"Even at the age of 15 you could see it in the way his skates stride on the ice, smooth and strong cuts. You can hear it in how he talked. The kid loved hockey. He loved loved scoring goals and he loved putting on a show for anyone who was willing to watch. He found something that he loved and is working at becoming incredible and has done a great job so far."

His second year with the Bluefins was much stronger than the year prior. Although unable to put on much muscle because of his age, Jakobsen worked extremely hard during the off-season to improve his puck handling skills and shot accuracy. He wanted to become an offensive beast that was able to be clutch and explosive all at once. His hard work was rewarded with a league Championship at the age of 16. He also had a career high year in every category except penalty minutes.

In his third and final season with the SEL's Laholm Bluefins, Magnus Jakobsen went on to Snipe, Celly and Repeat 33 times throughout the 40 game schedule and added 28 Assists for a grand total of 61 points in 40 games played. He went on the win the MVP award, as well as the Top Goal Scorer award. Although the team came up just short in the Finals, losing 3-2 in the overtime of game 6, Jakobsen had left the Swedish Elite League with a bang.

Jakobsen was named S17 Vancouver Whalers Captain</div>

Magnus Jakobsen was selected 16th Overall in the 3rd round of the S16 SMJHL Entry Draft by the Vancouver Whalers. Although he was a late player coming into the Entry Draft, he showed positive signs of activity, effort in his build and talent when it came to really stepping on the ice. Jakobsen put up 12 goals and 12 Assists through 40 games played and came up just short in the SMJHL Championship finals VS the Scarecrows.

In S17, Magnus Jakobsen was drafted to the Hamilton Steelhawks 9th Overall and is argued to be one of the leagues recent largest steals. Since then, he has become the top player for TPE earned in his draft class and is easily the most elite of his draft and of the leagues up and coming potential stars. Although his hard work was starting to show some results, the Steelhawks depth was just too deep and they didn't need him, so they sent him down and because of that Magnus went on to have a scoring title race with Calgary Dragon player Esa Anrikkanen only to come up short by 1 point.

He didn't play his rookie campaign season until S18 and for himself it was a rather disappointing one. Although most rookie players struggle of the start line, Magnus Jakobsen was looking to put on a strong performance as he was surrounded by elite talent every direction he looked. Despite the great depth and players on the team, he failed to put up impressive numbers and failed to impress those who expected way more.

Next year was the exact same thing for poor Magnus. He must have thought he was cursed with a no offense production curse because his rookie slump carried on over to his Sophomore season. In fact, Jakobsen managed one less point than he did in his rookie Campaign with a low amount of 12. Although a poor performance in his eyes, Hamilton seen him as a great player just waiting to explode and were doing fine without him, winning the Presidents Trophy and making a Finals appearance.

S20 was really a year that Jakobsen either had to do or don't and if It was don't then maybe Hamilton and Jakobsen would have went separate directions. This was not the case however and Jakobsen went on to have a huge break out season, increasing his career high for points of 13 to 41, an increase which would earn him the Aidan Richan Trophy - Awarded to the player who had the best breakout season. His team once again went on to win the Presidents Trophy and make an appearance in the Challenge Cup finals, only to lose to FourFour, Partlow and the Texas Renegades.

<div align="center">Player Build Analysis:</div>
Strengths

99 Scoring - Magnus Jakobsen's ability to shoot the puck and find the back of the net are insane and he has showed off this skill at Hamilton's annual skills contest. He's also got 4 goals in 4 games to start S21 and has a shooting percentage of 25%. Snipe, Celly and Repeat!

99 Puck Handling - His hands are like gold when it comes to results and silk when it comes to how ohhhhh, so smoooth he is as he dangles his way from one end of the ice to the other. With his strong shooting ability, along with his top notch puck handling, he has really equipped himself to be an offensive weapon.

95 Skating AND Strength - The man can fly down the ice faster than you can say Minnesota for Lotto pick. With that speed comes his big bodied frame (6'3" - 231 pounds) and strength, he models a lot of the NHL's Alex Ovechkin or Ryan Getzlaf, except with a higher scoring tendency.

Weakness

86 Defense - His defensive abilities aren't low - so we're not calling him out on them, we're simply saying they could be better. For how great his offensive game potentially could be, if he had the Defensive experience and ability to back it up he could become of the best players in the game.

53 Penalty Shot - For a player who loves to score goals, it absolutely blows our mind that his skill is somehow possibly lacking on the Penalty Shot side of it. Although his statistics for his abilities says one thing, he seems to say another as he's currently 1/1 for Penalty Shots this season.

NHL Comparisons: Alex Ovechkin/Higher Scoring Version of Ryan Getzlaf</div>

We already know where he is currently in the SHL, but due to his age and rate of development, we predict that Magnus Jakobsen will only continue his route of success, dominance and goal scoring throughout the SHL. Look for him to one day chase for MVP awards and Scoring titles in the very near future.
