Game 87: Kelowna Knights vs Regina Force

This cross-conference game started out quick. Multiple back and forth rushes resulting in good scoring chances went both ways but about half way through Regina was the first to get an actual offensive set up. After a flurry of shots the puck was passed to Rookie point sniper Pomery who ripped one from the point through traffic resulting in the first goal but Kelowna answered with their own point shot by, also rookie, Mariusz Kwik. Which ends the period 1-1. Kelowna then got a good match up with free agent signing Smirnov who streaked down the ice and buried one showing why he drawn so much attention when he emerged.


This time the Force would pick up and answer the call with veteran forward Ochocinco. Ending the second in another draw 2-2. Ales Smirnov would net his second of the night and again prove to be a great asset for the Knights getting ANOTHER game winning goal(spoiler alert) as Csonka would get the empty netter and truly seal this one up.

Game 88: Detroit Falcons vs St. Louis Scarecrows

This games first 5 minutes were completely controlled by Detroit. They won the opening face off and wore down the defense until an opening came for Zach Morgan who would snipe for the first goal. St. Louis would then regroup and a leader would step up. Satan was visibly seen keeping spirits high and it showed on the ice. Satan would put up 2 goals by himself within 5 minutes and carry the momentum going into the second. The second was a well played and defensively sound. There was numerous penalties and one would lead to a goal..... for Detroit as Tuzis would get Detroit back in the game and end the period 2-2. The third would start with a continued power play and lead right into the first goal of the period as Detroit would go up by 1. The game would be put away with a Clay Parker goal later in the period from the 2nd highest goal scorer in the league.
