Good evening Ladies, Gentlemen and Renegades,

Tonight we gather to commemorate our history and to embark on a new chapter for the SHL. Tonight we say goodbye to the West Kendall Platoon.

I'm proud to announce, in partnership with the League office and the Platoon ownership group, that the request for relocation has been granted. The West Kendall Platoon are on the move!

Not only are we finally moving the league presence out of a non-traditional hockey market, we are breaking new ground in making the SHL a truly international league!

Several locations were suggested, and we came down to three finalists!

Unfortunately for fans in Buffalo and Chicago, which both were tremendous applicants with great potential, the team will now be known as ...
