Possum Queen
After being notably absent from the public eye recently due to what he cites as "personal reasons," Hamilton general manager Jakob Tanner posted a message on the Steelhawks team website, saying that the image of the team has received an overhaul. Though he remains tight-lipped about the details, an unveiling is scheduled for later this afternoon. He says everything is finished and ready, but that he wants to foster a bit of speculation, given the franchise's storied history and well-established branding.

Though the current logo has served well and has been loved by those who have been in and out of the Hamilton locker room, it was lifted from a real-life team. The team, from management down to players, expressed an interest in creating a new logo - one that was made by us and therefore completely ours. Something we could call our own and be proud of. Something that encapsulates the spirit of the Hamilton Steelhawks. After several drafts and edits, with feedback from the players, I've come up with a final version of our new logo:
In addition, Bushito has created a secondary logo/shoulder patch for us to use. I'm very impressed with his ability when it comes to clean logos like this.
Finally, to reflect these changes, the jerseys have been redone completely.
