1. Why would you like to be a Dragon? How interested are you in becoming a Dragon? 9–10. I'd love to be a Dragon, and my reasons are threefold. 1. My captain at the Kelowna Knights, the esteemed Mr. Randleman, is on your roster. I have a tonne of respect for Randy, and I'd love to wind up on the same SHL team as him. I'm also friendly with Sachimo Zoidberg, and if you ask him about me I am sure he'll tell you "woobwoobwoobwoob!" (that's a good thing) 2. From talking to Randy/Ballerstorm, it sounds like I'd be very happy in Calgary. 3. You're the Calgary DRAGONS. Who the shit wouldn't want to be dragon?! 2. How active are you? On-site: ~8/9. I'm on here every day and am very active in the locker room, and I believe I'm one of the higher earning rookies as far as media output goes. I don't post much elsewhere, but I have never missed an update, and you can bet your fiery dragon ass that I'm not going to start now. Off-site: ~3/4. I'm pretty lazy. Sexually: none of your business. <_< 3. What do you like most about the league? Apart from the obvious excitement of drafts, playoffs, and the like, I've very much enjoyed getting to know my teammates, and having a friendly bit of banter in the locker room and occasionally elsewhere. I also love the fact that you can post media whenever you want; that's something I quite enjoy doing, and the fact that you are paid by the word means that I can write long, in-depth articles and be rewarded for it. 4. What are your ambitions for your player and for yourself in the league? My main goals are to develop an elite playmaker, and to enjoy myself. That is one of the reasons why I value good teammates and a good locker room atmosphere; it makes the SHL experience all the more enjoyable. Beyond my current career, I would like to have a series of successful players, and post-college I may consider expanding into management, or other jobs. 5. If drafted by Calgary, do you see yourself signing a long-term contract with the team? I'd like to think so. It's partly up to you guys too, but I'm more than willing to sign on long-term, and perhaps I'll be a career Dragon. I'm very loyal—particularly if I enjoy the team I'm on—and I'm not someone you'll find itching for a move if the trophies aren't coming my way. 6. Are you active in the LR? Do you engage in discussion daily? Yes, and yes! For more information, feel free to ask Randy/Ballerstorm. We've shared a locker room since the beginning of the season, and as such have communicated every day, except for the occasional weekend here or there. 7. Do you do articles/podcasts/PbPs? I filled my PbP cap up this year but still wanted to do more, so yes, I do! I have not done a podcast yet, but it's something I would like to do in the future. 8. What are you taking in school? What's your career? 10. I would be happy to be drafted anywhere, but Calgary is my number one choice. I'd love to continue to share a locker room with Ballerstorm, and he has spoken very highly of Esa. 2. How active are you? (scale of 1 - 10) I guess, 8? My post count isn't huge, but I am on the site a lot. Probably too much. :D 3. What do you like most about the league? The people. I was apprehensive at first, but everyone was very welcoming. The Kelowna locker room, in particular. They have made my time on SHL an absolute joy. 4. What are your ambitions for your player and for yourself in the league? My primary ambition is to have fun. For me, that means interaction, locker room or elsewhere. For my player, I'd like to learn the intricacies of the sim and player attributes. I'd like to be able to learn how to build my player effectively for the SHL, so that I can help my team to be successful. 5. If drafted by Calgary, do you see yourself signing a long-term contract with the team? That is my aim. I would like to join a team for an extended period. Ideally, I develop good relationships with my teammates, and that leads me to have no desire to ever leave the team. 6. Are you active in the LR? Do you engage in discussion daily? This is where most of my activity takes place. Because I spend so much time on the forum, I like to try to give my teammates a heads-up when posts of interest go up. I engage daily, some days more than others, and depending on whether the conversation is on a topic that I am familiar with. 7. Do you do articles/podcasts/PbPs? I try to do articles fairly regularly. I do struggle with ideas for media pieces sometimes. I have somethings planned for my next season in Kelowna, but normally, I just write when something comes to me. 8. What are you taking in school? What's your career? I'm currently in an online program at the University of Minnesota Crookston, in the Information Technology Management program. 9. What is a unique or silly thing you can do? I can wiggle my ears. I can wiggle my right independently of my left, but I can't move my left without moving my right. 10. Who is your Man crush Monday? Woman crush Wednesday? My man crush is the player likeness I've been using, Michael Fassbender. Is it weird that I knew my man crush immediately, but had to think about my woman crush? I'm going with Evangeline Lilly. 11. What do you like most about the league? It's big, it's crazy competitive and there isn't a lot of drama. So I enjoy being in the SHL. 4. What are your ambitions for your player and for yourself in the league? I want my player to be the best passer in league history, bar none. Myself I want to be able to retire a player who has had a great career. 5. If drafted by Calgary, do you see yourself signing a long-term contract with the team? I dont want to burn bridges for any team by saying if i want to join their team or not. I would play for any SHL team that drafts me and am intrested in them all. So 10 2. How active are you? (scale of 1 - 10) I am a pretty active player and am on this site every day and I regularly update. 10 3. What do you like most about the league? I like that i have made friends on here pretty quickly. There are a ton of friendly people on here and look forward to making more. 4. What are your ambitions for your player and for yourself in the league? I am looking for my player to fulfill a role in the squad. I am a jack of all trades type player right now with the ability to become whatever type of role player that my team needs. If you need a scorer, I will focus on my goal scoring. Playmaker, ill work on my passing, and if you need a grinder, I will work on my strength and defense. I am just here to be an asset to help your team win the Cup. 5. If drafted by Calgary, do you see yourself signing a long-term contract with the team? I want to be a one-team player and would love to sign a long-term contract if you will have me. 6. Not currently in school. I am enlisted in the US Air Force. I am an "Egress Systems Journeyman" which means that I fix the ejection seats in fighter aircraft. 9. 8, cuz Esa. 2. How active are you? (scale of 1 - 10) Definitely a 10. 3. What do you like most about the league? The people. For the most part everyone here is really friendly, and those who aren't are enough of a minority that it doesn't matter. 4. What are your ambitions for your player and for yourself in the league? I really want to be an SMJHL GM. I would love to work with new players looking to get started in the league, and I think I'd be able to help them out a lot. For my player, I'd like to be a top pairing defenseman on a team some day. I know I can get there eventually, and it's a goal I'm going to work towards my entire career. 5. If drafted by Calgary, do you see yourself signing a long-term contract with the team? My first contract I would rather have be a short-term contract, just to make sure I actually like it with the team and don't want to leave for whatever reason. But so long as I get into the locker room and like what I see, at that point I'd be willing to sign a longer-term deal. 6. Are you active in the LR? Do you engage in discussion daily? I am far too active in the locker room. I have a majority of the posts in the Falcons locker room this season, as Esa can probably attest to. I'm in there every day, talking to whoever else is posting at the time. 7. Do you do articles/podcasts/PbPs? I write a ton of articles. I don't podcast, but I get by with my articles. I think that I'll have $70.1M once all of my articles that are pending grading and the ones that have already been graded but aren't in the bank go through. I also do PbPs, they're a lot of fun and a good way to earn TPE. 8. What are you taking in school? What's your career? I'm currently studying Political Science, Digital Media, and Spanish (yes those are all majors) with the intent being to become a professor of either Political Science or Spanish. 9. What is a unique or silly thing you can do? Not do unique or silly things ;_; I can play a couple of instruments though (piano, French Horn, and mellophone) 10. Who is your Man crush Monday? 1. Why would you like to be a Dragon? How interested are you in becoming a Dragon (scale of 1 - 10)
The team is on the upswing, so there's only going to be winning the next few seasons. I would love to be a part of an up and coming club. Also, I have interacted with Esa in the Falcons locker room, and I have only heard positive things about him, so I would love to play on a team GMed by him. 10 2. How active are you? (scale of 1 - 10) 10 3. What do you like most about the league? I love the community, and the experience of being on a team. I have had lots of fun in the Falcons locker room so far this season, and it has kept me coming back every day. I am excited to join my SHL locker room and begin to get to know my new teammates. 4. What are your ambitions for your player and for yourself in the league? I want to become a first liner in the SHL. I want to win in both the SMJHL and SHL, so in order to help my team win I need to make myself into an amazing player. I have been working very hard so far to improve my player, and I only see that continuing into the future. 5. If drafted by Calgary, do you see yourself signing a long-term contract with the team? Yeah for sure. Wherever I go I plan on staying there for a long time. I want to be the type of player that a franchise builds around, and signing a long term contract is one way to achieve that. 6. Are you active in the LR? Do you engage in discussion daily? Yeah, I think Esa can tell you I am one of the most active rookies in the locker room (besides Clayton of course), and I am in there commenting every day. 7. Do you do articles/podcasts/PbPs? Yeah I am pretty active in the media. I usually post around an article a week, and this can be seen by my bank account status, I will be sitting at around 17 million after the next update. I have also done a bunch of PbPs this playoffs, I will hopefully be doing my 4th this week. I really like doing PbPs, they are a lot of fun. 8. What are you taking in school? What's your career? I am studying Chemical Engineering. Currently in my summer break 9. What is a unique or silly thing you can do? I am really good at flip cup. The sheer size of it. I struggle to keep a 12 man hockey pool alive for a whole nhl season, yet this thing is constantly growing by leaps and bounds. It's awesome to be a part of. 4. What are your ambitions for your player and for yourself in the league? For my player I'd like for his to be a difference maker. Maybe not a top 10 guy, but definitely someone the league recognizes as a good player. As for myself I'm still not sure yet. I'm content just being a player now, but perhaps a GM down the road. 5. I've never done a podcast or PbP, but I have submitted several articles including a pair of fantasy rankings that seemed to go over nicely. 8. What are you taking in school? What's your career? Finished school. Currently working as an application technologist in Edmonton. What is an application technologist you say? I still don't really know. Within our company we're referred to as engineers, but we're not. In short I design building automation systems. 9. What is a unique or silly thing you can do? I can kick deceptively high and I can't grow a proper facial hair. Only grungy neck beards... 10. Who is your Man crush Monday? Woman crush Wednesday? Easy. Jake Gyllenhaal and Kate Beckinsale. 11. Have you ever experienced a charlie horse? Have you ever broken any bones? I've had many a charlie horse, but never broke a bone. greenstick once though. 12. What is your Favorite movie? Lord of the Rings: Return of the King. That took all of 1 second. 13. What games do you play that would work for a team game night? Recently started playing Rocket League. I also play Town of Salem (fun little game) and plan on getting NHL 16 on xb1.
