Good decision, Narc, the DC put their trust in you here, don't let them down buddy.

Not sure I agree, after his Twitter tirade, but let's hope he doesn't fuck up the chance he is being given.

701... et tu brutae?

Let's be honest... the original suspension wasn't warranted and the game penalty was overkill. My comments that got me suspended were harsher than they needed to be and I shouldn't have said them. However, apart from the stuff with Gorlab last year and this recent minor thing, I'm not exactly known for causing a lot of drama on the site and a warning or reminder with an edict to edit the post would have been enough. Classifying me as a "repeat offender" is also a bit weak.

That being said, everything on Twitter was goofing around and certainly did not warrant additional punishment. I blamed the DC for cancelling Firefly for fuck sake.

I appreciate the 3-game ban being removed, but I'm not going to thank the committee as if they are doing me a solid.

inb4 another posting ban, six game suspension, $10,000,000 fine to Narconis for talking bad about DC again

I'd like to see a reasoning with this announcement (even though I do fully agree with it). Something as simple as "previous punishment was deemed too harsh" or "committee agreed post ban was sufficient"

Keep us in the know. Don't be a secretive group. That will only cause more uproar without explanations

They way the process generally goes is that the discipline committee decides on a punishment and informs the player about his right to appeal, if they player decides to do that then his appeal goes to the commishes and they decide whether to lower the punishment or not.

wow
wtf

League: we don't trust the final decision of our DC so it has to be run over through to us if the player appeals.

I think it's a decent system, we aren't infallable so it doesn't hurt to get some other people to look at it if someone things that we've come to the wrong decision.

I was not informed of my suspension until I tried posting and it came up as being suspended. Additionally, I HAD been informed that my post was reported...but was ALSO informed that I was getting a "warning"... so my suspension came as somewhat of a shock and completely out of nowhere.
