S27 Colorado Mammoths Awards Championship Season
#1

The Colorado Mammoths finished the S27 hoisting their first Four Star Cup in their short tenure as a SMJHL team! After an incredible run and beating the favored Montreal Impact, TDW and I have some individual team awards we'd like to announce! These players made the commitment and had the drive and motivation to push this team to highest level possible.

<div align="center">Team Leadership Award
Jacob Andrews

[Image: 3759.png&w=350&h=254]</div>
>Andrews is a very active member of our locker room and very often is the one stirring up conversation and keeping our locker room active. He was always positive, even through tough times of having to make adjustments to his build and was always in full support of the team over himself, which is hard to find. We are lucky to have such a goalie as Jacob Andrews moving forward, and we look forward to him owning the crease this upcoming season!

<div align="center">Most Dedicated Player
Dickie Pecker

[Image: 2562609.png&w=350&h=254]</div>
>Dickie Pecker was truly a indicator of the depth of the team this season. He ran the 3rd line like the champion he is, and quietly had an impressive season. He allowed us to play our 3rd line more often and gave us a big edge over the competition. He was updating constantly and is always around. He put up 33 points and logged over 20 mins a game in S27.

<div align="center">Top Forward / Season MVP
Potato Chips

[Image: 5161.png&w=350&h=254]</div>
> Chips lead the way for the Mammoths in S27, as he normally does. He finished with the most points on the team (56) while shooting at over an 18% clip. A quality forward for the Mammoths, he has proven himself to be a valid first line center season after season.

<div align="center">Top Defenseman
Kristoffer Ruud

[Image: 5181.png&w=350&h=254]</div>
>Ruud is a stud along the blue line and has been for his entire SMJHL career. He logged the second most points on the team (48) and lead the team in assists (41). Ruud consistnetly sets a prime example for new players on the roster as well.

<div align="center">Top Rookie
Jhonas Ville

[Image: 3026256.png&w=350&h=254]</div>
>Ville was a pleasant surprise this season after being signed as just a backup to fill the net for 6 games. He ended up playing in a total of 11 games going 7-3, posting a save % over .900 and a 2.24 GAA in the Regular Season. After his impressive play during the season and in the post season, Ville got the nod for the last 2 games of the SMJHL Finals, ultimately winning both games and walking away with a Four Star Cup!

<div align="center">Top Goalie
Jacob Andrews

[Image: 3759.png&w=350&h=254]</div>
>Jacob was understandably disappointed in his post-season replacement, but this doesnt take away from his high-performance over the course of the whole season. Jacob helped us seal the #1 seed and had a regular season record of 23-12-5.

<div align="center">Playoff MVP
Charlie Conway

[Image: 3041969.png&w=350&h=254]</div>
>Conway was able to sign a little bit into the season with Hamilton, who ultimately sent back to his home here in Colorado. Conway is a consistent beast in the league and proved it in the S27 Playoffs. He lead the league in shots, assists with 13 and points with 23. He had many clutch goals and was a major part and reason to why the Mammoths won the Four Star Cup

We want to thank every Mammoth player this past season and congratulate them on being the first players in a Mammoths jersey to have their names on a Four Star Cup!!

But wait!!

We also have a special announcement!!

We have had plenty of influential players in our short history here in Colorado. Some signed as free agents, some acquired through the draft, we even have many still with us from our inaugural draft. We finally have the opportunity to announce our first award named after a player the wore a Mammoths jersey. On behalf of the entire management group, from the top to bottom of the Mammoths organization, we would like to announce the:

<div align="center"> Goal Tim Buckner Award Goal </div>
>The Tim Buckner Award will be given to the best two-way player on the Colorado Mammoths throughout the season. Tim Buckner was a shining example of a top two-way player in the league during his tenure in Colorado. Buckner played on the first line of the Mammoths in S26 after being acquired via trade with the Detroit Falcons. Buckner did not have the point total he wanted, but he did come into his own as one of the best two-way player in the leagues. He could play up and down the roster and was a monster on the penalty kill. He finished with highest +/- on the team and while he didn't score often, it was still on over 17% of his shots, leading the team in that percentage of players with more than 50 shots.

We would like to announce the first recipient of the award to:
<div align="center">Sim Browski

[Image: mueller.png]</div>
>Browski was a tough two-way competitor this season and was another key component to the championship season. Sim lead the team in hits as a forward, crushing opponents 116 times while only taking 45 hits himself. He also managed 33 points during the Regular Season. Sim also played over 20 minutes a game, including time on the Power Play.

<div align="center">We look forward to the next season and another run at the Four Star Cup!
