As you might have read in the Swedish press Tord Yvel isn't you'r everyday blueliner.
He is projected by many of the Swedish Journalists to be the next great Defenseman for Team Sweden and wherever he ends up after the yearly SMJHL Entrydraft. Here's a translated piece where his Agent(TrazanApanzzon) is interviewed by the now retired hall of famer Peter Forsberg. P.Forsberg: So we'll start out the interview easy. How did you get in contact with the highly regarded Tord Yvel? TrazanApanzzon: Our first meeting was actually at a hockeyrink in our birthplace Ronneby. We both played Defence and got into a real hockey-fight on our first training, I wanted to be the No1 D-man on our team but Tord was already there and didn't want to give up his place, even for a minute. as time went on it was clear that Tord was the better defenseman and i understood that my place was in the bottom of our lineup. After that we became good friends. P.Forsberg : So you played hockey? Why Did you quit? TrazanApanzzon: yeah i did. I played until i was about 15 but i wasn't very good and other things in life started to draw my attention away from hockey. P.Forsberg: I see here in my papers that you wen't to school as a programmer? and then started to work in a Factory? TrazanApanzzon: Yep, Did three years of studies in a little town in southern sweden. Realized that i chose the wrong direction in life and got a job at a factory and found that i really enjoyed the atmosphere and it since it allows me to do part time as Tord's agent it works out great. P.Forsberg: About Tord yvel, how did you become his Agent? I mean you can barely speak english. TrazanApanzzon: We stayed friends after i played hockey and he called me one day and said he needed someone he could trust to help him create his hockey legacy. I didn't even need to think about it, i took the job there and then. And i would say that i'm doing pretty darn good as he's agent, last year i got him a dirtbike from the club! English is one of the main things for me to improve on right now, and i think being here and talking to GM's and other players will help me alot in that regard. P.Forsberg: So what are you doing in you'r spare time? TrazanApanzzon: I ride my bikes as often as i can, Which isn't as often as i would like with the weather being what it is in Sweden. I love to travel. My next trip is actually hockey related as i'm going on a agent-thing at the World Cup of Hockey in Toronto in september. I also watch a lot of NHL hockey. Mostly Vancouver Canucks as that is my favourite team and the Sedins my favourite players. P.Forsberg: So about Tord Yvel. What can you tell us about his background? TrazanApanzzon: As i said he started out as a little boy in KRIF junior teams and have played there ever since. As a 15 year old he got the chance to play with the KRIF A-team in Division 1 (Swedens tier 3 league). he's done 5 games in the Swedish Elite league with Karlskrona HK as a loan from KRIF. Mostly on the bench but got a few shifts in. P.forsberg: How would you describe Tord as a player? Strengths? weaknesses? TrazanApansson: He's trying to be a very versatile player with no real weakness. although he could stand to ad a few pounds of muscle and try to use his body a little bit more. He's exit pass from his own end of the ice is really good and is something Tord is working on every day, He loves to set his forward up on the rush. His passing is a skill that contributes in all three zones since in the offencive zone he can make those sweet sweet saucer passes to the the sniper. He's always dreamt of being the key playmaker on a Powerplay. in short i would say he's a two-way defender with focus on the defense and the playmaking aspects of the game. P.Forsberg: Where do you think Tord will go in the SMJHL-draft? TrazanApanzzon: For me Tord is a given first rounder but i haven't heard any draftbuzz coming from the GM's so i don't know what they think. Tord will be very honored and happy wherever he is selected in the draft, 1st round or 7th round doesn't really matter. Me and Tord know that he is destined to become this generations no1 d-man And that's all folks. i hope my spelling and grammar isn't to far of and that you enjoy'd reading this piece by Peter Forsberg ![]() Good Luck in the upcoming draft everyone!
