We are pleased to announce the signing of Dman John Brooks to a $2M SMJHL entry level contract! Brooks will add to our already impressive defensive depth. With him on the roster, we no longer have any inactives on the blue line and we believe his defensive play style will give us flexibility in our pairings down the road.

We are also pleased to announce the signing of goalie Mikael Greene to a $2M SMJHL entry level contract! With Wehner potentially leaving next season, the Whalers are going to need someone to step into the starting role and we think Greene can be that someone. He will have the time he needs to develop and will have an excellent goalie mentor to help him out. He will serve as Wehner's backup for this season but will definitely get his chance to start a fair share of games.
