So recently I've picked up a copy of NASCAR Racing 2002, and I decided that not only am I going to play and enjoy one of the best simmer racers in the last 15 years, I figured I'd let you the people here on the SHL website to join me. As I'm typing this I'm setting up an off-line season where 42 of you lucky folks, will have a chance to run for the championship. Now there are some complications, I don't have any streaming equipment with me here at college so right now I'm looking for more of a primitive screen recorder to capture the races. Allen already gave me a decent idea so I'm going to look into that.


How this works: there will be 36 races as this will be done to the championship mode feature. Scoring will be kept through the game (hopefully) and at the end we will determine a champion. This is all for fun but if you win you might get a little bonus in your bank account so there's a little incentive there, The stats will all be even to give everyone an equal chance, because obviously not every driver has the skills or equipment to keep up with others.


Race length will be determined as we go along, maybe 25% maybe lower, maybe higher.


As for myself I will not run any of these races. This will be strictly simulated by the game, the only thing that I have to do is qualify my own car because I think the game requires me to do a that I have to do is qualify my own car because I think the game requires me to do that but, I could be wrong.


Cars: The cars you can select or strictly through the game itself for now I may mod more updated cars as time goes on and if this takes off


Teams?: Now in the game, The cars have a sponsor and a team name, now these are just the team names that I've taken strictly from the teams that were around in NASCAR at the time. But if anyone wants to “own” a team this can be changed.

Ratings: to make everything even and to give everyone a equal shake and shot to win every single attribute is placed in a minimum of 80 and a maximum of 90 the 10 point difference is to allow some cars to have better days than others but still give everyone a decent chance of of winning every race. But if it doesn't seem even and some cars continuously finished near the front I might just even it up everybody this is a process and I'm slowly getting the hang of how the attributes work etc. etc.

RATINGS UPDATE: Yes! I finally got info for this, and as soon as I get free time, it's time to input the stats and run some test races! If we get decent/good amount of parity, we'll be set to go!
