TORONTO, ON, CAN.., It has been a crazy and hectic off-season/pre-season in the front office of Toronto to say the least. When the Toronto media erupted after finding out about the unfortunate events that occurred with GM RaiN during the off-season, numerous General Managers, players and fans around the league began to assume that Toronto was about to enter rebuild mode.

For GM RaiN, that is not the case. He still has expectations of being competitive for seasons to come. However immediately after stepping into his new office, he began to accommodate those within the organization who requested to be moved prior to his hiring as well as players who wished to be moved after the cloud of negativity swirled around the Air Canada Centre a day after his promotion.

What people are trying to figure out is to why GM RaiN has traded practically everyone within the system who was expected to be a North Star in the near future. What some don't realize is, is that behind the scenes the players who all requested to move forward with their SHL careers were prospects.

"Personally, i hated moving pieces I really didn't want to move, but at the end of the day I feel I did my best to accommodate those who felt their time in Toronto could go on no further. I want players who want to be here, who want to win here. At this very time I felt it was necessary to cut the losses and move forward to bring a bigger and brighter future to Toronto and Toronto's loyal fan base.
Throughout this process of moving roster players, prospects and signing extensions, I can't help but thank the Toronto faithful within that locker room who stuck by me through it all. These guys want to win here - I'm going to make sure I put them in a position to do so".

These last few days have been tough given the prospects I've dealt to other organizations but I hope they are happy with their new homes. Moving forward, the one person who has been giving me their opinions, being supportive as well as assisting in team responsibilities has been none other than <a href='index.php?showuser=1833' rel='nofollow' alt='profile link' class='user-tagged mgroup-62'>Cynthia</a> and that is one of many reasons why I have chosen her to be the Toronto North Stars Co-GM.

<a href='index.php?showuser=1833' rel='nofollow' alt='profile link' class='user-tagged mgroup-62'>Cynthia</a> is loyal, dedicated, trustworthy and wants to win in Toronto. She's not afraid to vocalize her opinion and she flat out told me she is "here to argue" because if I can convince her otherwise in an argument, than there is a slight chance that I'm right and that my idea would work Rolleyes

I like that a lot about Cynthia and I'm very confident in this decision to work together as I believe it gives us the best opportunity possible to build a winning franchise.
Cynthia has been helping me with things such as regression builds, some trade talk and what to do moving forward with the North Stars organization. We are creating a new era in Toronto. It's starts from the top to build a winning culture and that is why I ultimately have decided to work with Cynthia in bringing Toronto it's first Challenge Cup.
