After their first victory in Vancouver, the Raiders took the road to reach the Mammoths home for the second time of their road trip. They were looking to stay strong after their recent show off and bring home four of the possible six points. However, Colorado was a beast in itself, always coming strong against Halifax.

The Raiders were not careful enough at the start of the first period and decided to play with the colossal beast. Two times, they put their fates in the hand of their penalty kill units. Wyder was the first player to be sent to the box with a Hooking call and before the middle of the period, it was Ted Glass turn to get a 2 minutes for Interference. Teddy Kelser was able to capitalize on the following power play, but less than a minute after, Halifax’s Müller netted one, equalizing the teams’ scores at 1-1. Frustrated by this fast goal, Garland was caught in the act of High Sticking and was sent to the Mammoths’ penalty box. The Raiders were unable to took the opportunity given to them. As soon as Garland penalty was out of time, it was Bar Downski’s who attracted the wrath of the referee. After a bad slash, he was sent in the box with a double minor, locking him for a full four minutes. Halifax defense managed to keep the puck out of their net during that time.

Five minutes into the second period, Garland continued to play recklessly and a Hooking penalty sent him in the box to reflect on his actions. Right before the middle of the period, Kelser was able to outplay FourFour Jr. for a second time of the game. Like the previous period, the lead of the Mammoths didn’t last long as Bernstein managed to answer the goal less than two minutes after it.

Despite his wonderfull goal, Bernstein didn’t manage to stay out of the way at the beginning of the third period and was called out by the referees for Interference. Kesler was a man on a missing during the game and a rain of hat congratulated him when he scored his third of the game during the power play. The trend was still present in the third period as Yuri Boyka Jr. of the Raiders was able to deflect Wyder’s shot behind Aleksandrov, evening the score 3-3. However, after this goal, the momentum didn’t change in Halifax favor. They were unable to stop the Mammoths attack, watching Zbyněk and Brosnan score the two next goals. The Raiders Toews also added a nail to the coffin by taking a Tripping penalty barely one minute after Brosnan goal. Kesler chased the Raiders off his ship by netting his fourth of the game at FourFour Jr.’s despair.

The unsung hero of the match for the Raiders was Yuri Boyka Jr. with his almost 24 minutes of ice-time. He shot seven times on the goal and won twelve of his face-off. He also netted one goal and received an assist on the first goal of the match.
