Welcome to the Post-Game Recap from a game in the past. We always like to go back in the vault to find a game that was very interesting. One of those games was that of the Montreal Militia travelling to Colorado to take on the Colorado Mammoths. Both teams are trying to start the game on a good foot as this is the first game of the season. We had both teams trying new lineups as rookies try to make an impact straight from the start. Well, how did the game look? Let's take a look!

1ST PERIOD
The first period was very much dominated by Montreal as they pestered the Mammoths goal with shots. The Militia outshot the Mammoths by a total of 10-4 in the first period. The first surprise of the season was the fact hat Matiss Kokins got a Goalie Interference minor penalty only 3 seconds into the game. Kokins just rushed the goalie straight off the drop of the puck. Everyone was very confused, but that started the downhill slope in which the Mammoths knew previously. The scoring started in the 9th minute as Connor O'Connor scored a beautiful goal assisted by Artemi Berezin and Brett Jones to put the Militia out to a one goal lead. The Militia would end up getting a penalty as Yuri Bakos-Markov (MTL) got a penalty for Close Hand On Puck (Minor) at 13:01 in the first period. The Mammoths knew that this was the chance they needed, and they took it. Finn Larsson scored his first goal of the year only 21 seconds later! This goal was assisted by Matiss Kokins and Blaster Blade. This tied the game up at one and this is how the period would end between these two teams!

2ND PERIOD
The second period was very much the opposite of the first period as the Mammoths absolutely dominated the period as they outshot the Militia from the count of 12-5. Nico Gross was the man to start he scoring as there was a lot of action, but not much happening beyond that. Nico Gross, the first round pick of the Mammoths, scored his first goal of the season from Matiss "FINGERER" Kokins and Dean Youngblood at the 10:31 mark. Only 50 seconds later, it was Alexander Zajac getting on the board to put the Mammoths up 3-1! Zajac's goal was assisted by Mark Ruggeri and Daedric Heikennin. The Mammoths were not done as only 14 seconds later, Wolf Von Hammersmark got on the board! This began the onslaught of the game. This caused the Militia to pull their started Dustin Evans to Beaujeaux Biscuit who would finish the game. Von Hammersmark's goal was assisted by Finn Larsson and Matiss "FINGERER" Kokins. If you thought the Mammoths were done, you were wrong. After a Roughing penalty at the 14:37 mark of the second period by Jack Tanner, Finn Larsson netted his second goal of the game! His goal was assisted by Colton Hagan 1 and Wolf Von Hammersmark! This put the Mammoths up 5-1. But, just to make it worse, only 8 seconds later, Daedric Heikennin netted a goal of his own! This goal was assisted by Matiss "FINGERER" Kokins and Alexander Zajac. The Mammoths scored 5 goals on 12 shots.

3RD PERIOD
The Mammoths were absolutely quiet in the third period as they were up 6-1. However, Connor Tanner would net one of his own from his brother Jack Tanner and his sister Barbie Tanner at the 10:12 mark of the period. This was all the action in the third as there really was nothing happening. The game was pretty much decided in the second period. This was the end of the game as the Mammoths came out on top.

FINAL SCORE: Mammoths 6, Militia 2
