Press: How do you feel now, the day after the draft?

Hippo: It feels really good, I went way higher then I thought I would, and I'm really happy to end up in Buffalo.

Press: What is your first thoughts that enter your head when you think about Buffalo?

Hippo: Wings, and hot sauce. Or maybe that's just cause I'm hungry? Buffalo is a tight knit group on the up and coming, having drafted really well previous seasons the future is a head of us.
I can see it taking a little while before I break the squad but when I do it's going to be full speed towards that cup!

You gonna miss me bb?

I am beans, but you know what? We still have plenty of time to rip up the juniors and you bet your ass we will.
When the time comes for us to face each other on the ice it will be just as fun! 

How do you feel about the trades that the management did in the draft? Agree with trading down or should they have drafted a guy( which one)?

They did good, asset management is hard work but I believe they made the right choices.
I believe getting Fantobens or Viklund would have been a great addition but I believe in the decisions that were made.

Once your SMJHL career is done what do you want to be known for the most?

I want to leave my mark in the Detroit books, I want to inspire the new generation to not be afraid of change, that the tools are all there for them and it's up to them to use them.
I also would like to win a couple of cups!

Any big individual goals for your SMJHL Career?

I want to be the best point and +/- player in the league, I'm building up to make that happen.

As you mentioned before it might take some time before you will be able to see some icetime in Buffalo are you happy with that kind of future?

Yeah, I'm fine with that. I know there's loads of great prospects in the pool a head of me. I'll work hard to break the lineup by doing great in SMJHL.
When I take that rooster spot I plan to take full advantage of it!

Any other draft prospects you would have loved to be also drafted to Buffalo?

All of the Falcons would be a great fit, but if I had to pick someone I mesh with it would have to be Fantobens, Viklund or Dank Boija

Where do you think will Buffalo place in the upcoming regular season?

Only place is up, I'm thinking they go deep and get a top 2 position in their conference and top 3 league wide.
The tools are in place, it's time for Buffalo to execute!

How much water do you drink in a day? 

I sleep in a waterbed. yeah IN the waterbed. I'm not sure how much water I drink in my sleep but I have to refill the bed weekly

How many Gatorade bottles fit inside a hippos mouth?

A little over 9000.
Serious answer I can probably chug half a bottle with only one swallow, two swallows for the whole bottle.

Pancakes or waffles and why

Pancakes for lunch, waffles for desert.
Swedish pancakes is a little more like a crepe, thinner mixture and no baking soda, not as heavy as an american pancake.
Waffles are pretty much the same, but I like them with some vanilla ice-cream!
