Boring Media: Breaking Down TPE Discrepancies SMJHL Edition
#1

Hey there, SMJHL, here I am again with the most boring media of all time. You'll notice it's clear that fewer audits are needed at this level. Obviously the players have not been around long enough to make mistakes, or have their mistakes approved by my team. At the same time, these are the newest users and are more likely to make mistakes.

As a dislaimer: No one on this list should see their TPE discrepancy and immediately apply that to their update. The numbers you see could be flawed themselves and you should not jump to the conclusion that you deserve that 44 TPE you're missing, or that you should immediately remove that 15 TPE you've overspent. These numbers do not tell a complete story. Anyone that does this will just be refused and laughed at in the Updater Discord channel. Mostly by me. A plus means you have too much TPE applied to your build, a minus means you have too little TPE applied to your build.

First I will rank the top 5 teams under a few categories.

Most Audits Needed

1. Montreal Militia: 8 Audits
2. Halifax Raiders: 7 Audits
3. Colorado Raptors: 6 Audits
4. Anchorage Armada: 4 Audits
5. Vancouver Whalers: 4 Audits

Fewest Audits Needed

1. Detroit Falcons: 2 Audits
2. Kelowna Knights: 2 Audits
3. St. Louis Scarecrows: 3 Audits
4. Anchorage Armada: 4 Audits
5. Vancouver Whalers: 4 Audits

Highest Net Discrepancy

1. Anchorage Armada: +19 TPE
2. Montreal Militia: +19 TPE
3. Vancouver Whalers: +10 TPE
4. St. Louis Scarecrows: -5 TPE
5. Kelowna Knights: +3 TPE

Lowest Net Discrepancy

1. Colorado Raptors: 0 TPE
2. Detroit Falcons: +1 TPE
3. Halifax Raiders: -1 TPE
4. Kelowna Knights: +3 TPE
5. St. Louis Scarecrows: -5 TPE

Highest Single Player Discrepancy

1. Griffith Cadwalader: +28 TPE
2. Helmuts Akmenlauks: -20 TPE
3. Ignatius Blunt: -12 TPE
4. Kristof Kovacs: +11 TPE
5. Nathan Cosco: -11 TPE

Initial impressions show that Colorado should not win the lowest net discrepancy award just because their errors cancel each other out. The real winner of this contest should be Detroit. They only need 2 audits for a net discrepancy of +1 TPE? That's impressive. Well done, Detroit.

I will never say that again.
I'm actually really surprised to find anyone in here with more than 15 TPE discrepancies and to find two with 20 or more is a shock.

Anchorage Armada: 4 Audits
Doug Dimmadome: +2 TPE
Kenji Yoshimura: +5 TPE
Maxime Bouchard: +4 TPE

Gvidas Kazlauskas: -2 TPE
Ignatius Blunt: -12 TPE
Kevin Maddox: -1 TPE

Oh, I hadn't seen this and coincidentally realised in the same week I had been using the update scales wrong for attributes above 60. Thanks for pointing it out.

How does an audit work, though, can anyone explain? I saw the league is hiring someone to do them, but, for example, I revisited my update thread and made corrections so my player would be legal. Is there something else I need to do?
