Travis Bitties Ranks SMJHL Teams Before Draft

As the playoffs have ended and I am awaiting the SMJHL draft, I thought it was best to spend some time looking into where I could be playing for a whole season.
--------------------------------------------------
They have a very rich history as they have won 9 championships since they first joined the league in S10. I would love to go to a team with a rich history and work as hard as I can to be the best player for the team. -------------------------------------------------- 2. Kelowna Knights The Knights are a very close #2. I had a great time learning with Kelowna during their playoff push. Sadly we could not get it done in the final. That would push the Knights to having 12 SMJHL Championships. The most of any team in the SMJHL from today or the past. Again, I would be just as interested in playing in Kelowna becauses of the success they have had in their previous seasons, and i would obviously love to go back with the team as i was just getting to know the players and GMs, but before this seasons I had no previous interactions with the GMs or the star players that play for them. Kelowna also has a great team name, but sadly they are in the middle of nowhere to be perfectly honest. And that is why I would have to put them at #2. -------------------------------------------------- 3. St. Louis Scarecrows Oh St. Louis, It was hard to play against my childhood favorite SMJHL team. I was a big fan of the team when my uncle was playing for them. I will be honest this year he, Tigole Bitties (@ace), was rooting for the Scarecrows even though I was playing against them. And of course during the finals the Scarecrows were very nice to me and gave me a warm welcome. St Louis of course have won the last 3 Four Star Cup Championships. This just shows what a force they have been as of late. Even though they also have a very interesting team name and logo, it is not my favorite even though the way the team plays makes up for it. They also have a great location in the Midwest and from what I've been told there are plenty of things to do in the city. -------------------------------------------------- 4. Halifax Raiders Halifax have a great logo and color scheme. They have one of the top uniforms, and the city is not to bad. Although I feel I lean towards the west coast a little bit more. I have had a meeting with a scout from the Raiders, but I do not think much has come from it so far. Everyone I’ve met from there have been very kind to me. They also have 2 Cup wins and have a decent team history so far. -------------------------------------------------- Tied for 5th are the Anaheim Outlaws and Colorado Raptors I have not looked to much into either team. They both have cool logos and have decent team locations. From what I can the Outlaws are a pretty new team and the Raptors have been around for a while. Either way it would be nice to have a talk with either team and learn more about their histories. -------------------------------------------------- 7. Montreal Militia Montreal as a city is not bad at all. Decent location with plenty of things to do around it. The team has an okay logo and the jerseys are not awful. I have also not heard much about the team but I do know they have won 2 cups so far. I hope I can learn more about them also. -------------------------------------------------- 8th is tied between the Detroit Falcons and the Lethbridge Lions From the little I know about the teams I do know, as an NFL packers fan, that I would not want to play for Detroit or the Lions. Although I would be interested if they have a good atmosphere around them. I would like to learn more about the two teams. Both team logos are decent and I would wear their jerseys if it came to it. -------------------------------------------------- 10. Anchorage Armada Anchorage are at the bottom of the list for a few reasons. To start they are the farthest team from any other in the SMJHL, and also the most northern. Also during the mid season it is only daytime for about 5 hours and I do not really want to deal with that. To add to that when I was looking for a team for the playoffs we almost had a deal but they skipped out on me and I am not interested in dealing with that again, and even though they were decent about it, it still sucked. They do have a decent logo and not the worst uniforms, and the town is not bad even though it is over 2000 miles from Vancouver. The Armada have 4 cup wins, so I know they are decently competitive in the league. -------------------------------------------------- No matter where I go I hope to become a player that can move the team in a direction closer to being a contender or keeping a team at the top. I hope to be great friends with my future linemates and working with them to make the team as best as possible, because at the end of the day that is exactly what it is all about. - Travis "Tig" Bitties (1007 Words and 2x media week) ![]() ![]() ![]() Buffalo Stampede LEEOUT ![]() SHL GM Admiral of the Data Seas ![]() Registered S39 Challenge Cup Champion
