With only one Co-GM and one scout reaching out to Padriag, he is distraught. He had this to say when TSN caught up with him after a scrimmage in Ireland.
TSN: How are you feeling right now? "I feel good, I am ready to go, ready to compete and ready to make a name for myself in the league." TSN: Any issues with your uncle being a HOF and having to live in his shadow? "No, different positions, different philosophy when it comes to our games, he was a scorer and came up big at big moments, I think he is top 3 in GWG, which is incredible, but that is not me. When I come up big it will be it the dying moments when we are up a goal and I get in the way of a shot or a break out pass that puts a player on a breakaway to give us the lead. I am not the scorer he was, but I plan to make an impact in my own way. Same sense of humor though." TSN: Has anyone reached out to you before the SMJHL Draft? "Not really. Only two people have reached out and neither were the main GM. I mean, my uncle fucked up the SHL, and I know that I am a dman and have a different game then him, but fuck you think people would be asking questions, but hey it is what it is. TSN: Do you think it has to do with wanting to be a one and done? "Maybe, I am ambitious and you would think a GM would like someone like that, but at the same time I also want what he never got, a 4 Star Cup." TSN: So would you stay longer? "I wouldn't say no, but would need some convincing, I wanna get to the show in the same amount of time as him." TSN: Would you say that he was put in a situation not many are? "Sure, but can't let him have bragging rights, unless I get a bragging right too." TSN: Thanks for you time, got anything else to say?
