FIRST PERIOD

The puck is dropped and Svennsson wins the draw for Montreal leading to a scoring chance for Shepard, then Skottson off the rebound but Andersson-Grande is able to stop both shots. The puck finds it's way back to Kristoffer Svensson and 14 seconds into the very first period we have our first goal in this game between the Militia and the Knights.

Goal  Kristoffer Svensson 0:14 (Montreal Militia) 1-0 Goal

The rest of the period was pretty even with both teams close in shots on goal, it ended with a total of 9 shots Montreal and 8 for Kelowna. We enter the first intermission with only Montreal on the scoreboard, up by 1 to zero.

SECOND PERIOD

The second period starts and once again  Svennsson wins the draw for Montreal against Scherbak in the face off circle. Svennsson tries to make a play for Kelowna's zone but is knocked right off the puck by Liam Hutchinson. Kelowna finds the puck and makes their way to Montreal's zone with Batsback lining up a shot on net... AND IT'S IN!

Goal Barry Batsback 1:01 (Kelowna Knights) 1-1 Goal

Angello wins the faceoff in the neutral zone against Lee and Angello makes his way with the puck. Keegan Angello is smashed by Vadim Malichov and the puck is iced. Marc Hagan wins the face-off versus Batsbak in Montreal's end. Puck finds it's way to Commander Shepard who takes a wrist shot... goes wide, missed the net! Hutchinson picks it up and without thinking fires it at O'Koivu-Volkova who doesn't see it coming! GOAL!

Goal Liam Hutchinson 4:28 (Kelowna Knights) 2-1 Goal

Kelowna takes the lead just minutes after tying the game in the second period! Two goals to one for the Knights whose momentum is building in this game. Just a minute later we find ourselves back in Montreal's zone for a faceoff due to icing by Sarantez. Svensson and Batsback at the dot and Svensson wins it for the Militia, passing it back to Gunnar Soderberg who ends up crushed against the board by Commander Shepard who has tallied a few clean hits in this game. Nathan Explosion picks off the puck and sets up a slapshot on Aleksi O'Koivu-Volkova who takes it low on the pad, causing a rebound right back to Nathan himself. Explosion fires it off again and Aleksi is unable to stop it this time, high glove side on the wrister, WHAT A SNIPE!

Goal Nathan Explosion 8:16 (Kelowna Knights) 3-1 Goal

The Knights have seem to run away with this game, but it is not over yet one more period left to be played, will Montreal have enough time in the next 20 minutes to tie the game and try to at the very least force OT? Let's find out... third period action coming up!

THIRD PERIOD

We jump ahead in this period to the halfway point where Commander Shepard is firing shots on Andersson-Grande like nobody's business, he fires a shot, set aside with a rebound, the one-man-show-Shepard picks it up again and let's another go, rubber flies by Alexander and we got a goal, Montreal's on their way to a comeback!

Goal Commander Shepard 11:17 (Montreal Milita) 3-2 Goal

Not even a minute later we are back in the Kelowna end after Big Fudge is caught icing. Scherbak wins the face-off versus Keegan Angello but Angello lifts Scherbaks stick on his breakout and wheels around for a quick shot on goal, not expecting the shot it makes it's way five hole and THE MILITIA HAVE TIED THIS GAME IN THE THIRD!

Goal Keegan Angello 12:46 (Montreal Militia) 3-3 Goal

What a game this has turned into but unfortunately the Militia went on to lose the game as the Knights put up two more goals late in the third...

Goal Simon Leblanc 14:59 (Kelowna Knights) 4-3 Goal
Goal Barry Batsback 18:07  (Kelowna Knights) 5-3 Goal

The Knights were the better team and came out ahead by a two goal margin, shots for this game ended up being 37 for Kelowna to 29 by Montreal.

First Period:

The first period started out with quite a bang with the first goal being scored just 0:14 seconds into the game. It was a masterful shot by Svensson with the assist by both Skottson and Shepard. There were three penalties in the period, all in the second half. The First was on the Knights for tripping. The other two were on the Militia for interference and holding. The shots for the period were pretty even being nine to eight. The Militia only taking one more shot than the Knights. The first period ended with the Militia leading the game 1-0.   (101)

Second Period:

It seemed like all the action for the second period happened in the first ten minutes of play time. All three goals for this period came from the Knights. This brought the game up 3-1 with the Knights taking the lead from the Militia. Both Penalties that happened this period happened at the same time. Tripping, I have noticed, gets called on the Militia a lot. The call on the Knights was for roughing. The second half wasn't very eventful as the Knights held their lead. You could tell that O'Koivu-Volkova was a bit shaken and starting to get angry.    (100)

Third Period:

The period started out with an early penalty at 8:37 on the Knights for hooking. The Militia tried to bring it back by tying the game three to three before the Knights came back with two goals to take the lead and the game. There was one more penalty in the period. This time on the Militia for high sticking. The Militias goalie took on a total of 37 shots, managing to stop 32 of them. Overall this game was a roller coaster. Starting out with the first goal at 0:14, the Militia tying it up, and ending with the Knights winning the game five to three.   (109)
