The Montreal Militia are on a record pace to finally hoist the Four Star Cup! The city has gone wild with the historic run and the team is the talk of the town. However, the Anaheim Outlaws are running wild with a Cup Run of their own! They have defeated the mighty Scarecrows in seven games and look to gun down the Militia next. Coaches for both squads are keeping quiet about lineups and injuries. The Militia have had 3 days of extra rest but have been vocal about not feeling any rust. Anaheim is still reeling from defeating the Super Scarecrows at Enterprise Center of all places. At the start of these playoffs the Outlaws were not being taken seriously being a five seed. I think everyone in the league is now taking notice that these bad men are the real deal! The Militia hope to chase them down and lock them up to clinch the Four Star Cup. Montreal has to be feeling good about the Outlaws series going seven games and gaining the home ice advantage. Teams usually don't talk about things like this but Russian Rookie third line defenceman has no qualms about it. Recently it was found out that he made a prediction of the Militia sweeping the Outlaws. Teammate and Rookie Sensation, Right Winger Ravyn Tedisko predicted the opposite and the Outlaws in six games. This reporter feels that she was trolling Zarley Zalapski having some fun with him. He flipped out when he heard the news and is still having issues with it. I suppose this is one way for the team to have some fun and stay loose.

The Militia will have a hard fought battle on their hands as the Outlaws first swept the Lethbridge Lions and had a 3-2 series lead on the Crows. Unfortunately, the Outlaws couldn't get the job done on home ice but being able to defeat the 3 time consecutive champs, in St. Louis, is even more impressive. The fans of St. Louis had nothing but love for their team as they watched them get defeated. They couldn't be mad, since the Crows not only won three cups in a row but they had the best record for the season as well. Very impressive indeed and the players of St. Louis vowed to be back next year! 

The Outlaws have youth and speed on their side. Montreal has a number of key rookies, along with seasoned veterans and they feel that this is their time. If one looks at the matchup, you will notice that this will come down to goaltending and the edge has to be in the favor of the Militia. The Militia, also boist a strong defense that has been nicknamed: The Primary Defense. It consists of Russian, Swedish and Irish players and none of them care who has more ice time. It is a team and has a next man up mentality. All they seem to care about is winning. Puck drop is just around the corner, so we need to get this article published and out to the public as soon as possible. On another note, the Canadian Media Strike is showing promise of an agreement. Even though, we here at this underground newspaper have nothing to do with the mainstream media, we have heard that the TPE Play by Play opportunities have made things go more quickly than they figured. It is rumored, that Marty Lange, will be calling one of the games in a shortened broadcast. Time will tell and we hope that everyone goes back to being civil once again.
